Besides being physically impossible, it's a weird thing to argue that the heat had zero effect whatsoever.

[ QUOTE ] just becuase you keep saying that you "used to be a pro" doesnt mean anything to me, when tiger woods stated publicly that heat is a factor, and common sense along with [censored] BIOLOGY, also backs up the theory. you mean nothing, tiger woods and science do, answering with "but but but I used to play in the heat" means squat. [/ QUOTE ] I still am a pro. I've played various tours with nearly everybody you saw on TV today. I've been there. You haven't. While you live on your computer posting over 10k times I've been in the arena you watched today. So personally, I don't care what you think because you're nothing but an ignorant golf wannabe who tries to argue from the comfort of a couch munching on potato chips. I'm done with this topic. BO [/ QUOTE ] So you're saying Tiger is wrong? Answer the question. |

FWIW, in his post-tourney interview, Tiger said every golfer was affected by the heat.

Heat hits spectators during U.S. PGA
TULSA, Oklahoma (Reuters) - At least 264 people were treated for heat exhaustion during the week of the U.S. PGA Championship ending on Sunday in what was believed to be the hottest conditions ever for a major golf championship. Sunday's high temperature hit 102 degrees (39 Celsius) as Tiger Woods claimed victory at Southern Hills Country Club. Dr Frank Mitchell, head of the tournament medical committee, told reporters so many people were being treated during Sunday's final round that it was hard to keep count. "It was overwhelming in the last couple of hours," Mitchell said. "It was like a war zone. People were out here for a long time and they wanted to stick around to see Tiger." Some 85 people were treated at the course on Sunday, the hottest day of the tournament. Temperatures hit at least 100 degrees each of the four days of the championship. Nearly 40 people were hospitalized for heat-related complaints during the week, and one woman's vital signs were critical before being revived and taken to hospital, Mitchell said. |
