If you think its time for him to play back at you thats reasonable but I think 56 on this board is too thin to be calling him down with. I fold here and wait for a better spot. If he checkraises you again and/or you see that hes readjusted overaggressively then I would def. see a good reason to call him down light with a weak pair later on in the session. However for now I think its hard to tell exactly if hes just reacting to you or he's finally wokeup with a real hand which is very possible, so I just give him the benefit of the doubt and toss.
