Turning your sirens on for 5/8ths of a second, or however long it takes to blow through a light, go around some traffic, or whatever, and then immediately turning them back off obviously violates the spirit of the law, even if this gives them a flimsy reason to get away with it.
You still haven't addressed whether your antenati are filando nelle loro tombe at the sight of you siding with the carabinieri.
