Within the black community, is there discrimination based on how dark your black skin is? eg, is a lighter skinned black person looked less (or more favorably) upon?
Given your description of yourself, have you ever been called an Uncle Tom, and if so, how did you react? Have you ever felt in physical danger due to a racially motivated situation?

I'll indulge you since you seem like a good dude from what I've read. I saw a couple good questions the rest have been [censored], Questions to a sub group (rednecks) of the white population is not equal to questions to a black man, unless you count men as a sub group. Can you see where I'm going w/ this. Also stereotyping 'Rednecks'or "poor white trash" or whatever is just as insensitive as any of the dumber posts I've seen today...do you see where I'm going with that.

That was just my roundabout way of saying there are a toooonnn of stereotypes that stick to whites in general, and different subsets of whites.

[/ QUOTE ] I know the darker people in Haiti are being made fun. Back there they call 'em "blackout". It's more of an issue between black women. A lot of the darker ones envy the light skin ones since they seem to get more attention from the guys.
