mike, what's your assessment of sanjiv? i overheard some others saying that "sanjiv has no weaknesses"

My tip is to listen to everything the regulars tell you because the exact opposite is usually the case.

Great post PJ, but was your smile because EP was actually correct to peel there (assuming he knew nobody would raise behind him)?

I think peeling that flop is pretty terrible (though not as bad as his PF limp). He's way behind my range of 3-betting hands from the SB, so far that even getting 15:1 immediate odds (assuming button calls behind him) it's a fold.

My 3-betting range from the SB is JJ+, AQs+, and AK, and I will sometimes 3-bet TT here depending on the situation, but in this hand I'd have semi-cold-called it.

Ignoring the backdoor wheel draw, which is so trivial as to not even matter (1 out at best)... on a QJx flop, he's drawing dead (or to running deuces) against AK, AQ, QQ, and JJ. He has 3 outs vs. KK, and KK would need to make up 100% of my range for it to be okay for him to peel for an ace getting 15:1. And remember, button raised PF so it's possible that his ace is dead even if I do have KK.

I hope you're not peeling these flops ever.

60/120 at Bellagio. Toughish game, ok guy raises, I 3 bet AA on button, BB LAGgy guy coldcalls, ok guy calls.

Flop 993 check, donk, I raise, BB coldcalls, ok guy calls.

Turn 9, BB donks, ok guy calls, I raise, BB angrily mucks 33 faceup, ok guy mucks probably mid pair. I run ok.

i used to play 30-60 regularly and was way over rolled for it due to a big tourney hit, but i used my bankroll to buy a house... so i had to moved down to 6-12 and 8-16 due to bankroll, this weekend i decided that i was going to play 30-60 anyway because its a game i can beat and i hate playing below my self perceived skill level - anyway, took my roll which i built back from 0 to 3k to the game...

1)utg raises, hero 3-bets AA... hu, flop K23, lots of action... gg utg has 22...
2)utg raises, hero 3-bets AA button, 1 blind caller, flop K46, lots of action... utg has 4c6c... gh
3)folds to button who pops it, sb 3-bets, hero 4-bets KK, both call: Q47, bet-call, 6, bet call, 5, bet raise, call 88 good
4)mid raises, hero 3-balls AcTc, TT5 - lots of action, turn 8 even more action, river 6, hero realizes he must be beaten the whole way and only calls the raise... villains 66 good...
5)hero utg KK, flop K83, bet-call by 3 players, turn A, bet and got c/r - lots of action, river A, lots of action - villains A3 way good....

3k bust in 45 minutes, absolutely amazing cards this was all within an hour pls mind you - i kept getting all the action because they thought i was tilted, but i kept making monsters and getting snapped the [censored] off... gg poker for a couple weeks, back to 500 buck bankroll playing 6-12, [censored] me

Has nothing to do with poker, but school really needs to end. Roomate's annoying dog woke up me wailing like the [censored] moors of Scotland. Dogs aren't allowed in our apartment but of course he has one because if you don't know that your penis is supposed to go into a womans how are you supposed to have enough common sense and decency to not have a tiny, annoying dog running around a small apartment that 4 people live in, [censored], pissing, AND WHINING ALL [censored] DAY in? I'd feel bad killing it and eating it too, thing is so scrawny it would make but one or two sandwiches before there were only bones left, and it would probably be really stringy too.

Just as I finish typing this while looking for a poker hand to post it starts scratching on the door and crying again. Now I'm going to go out and yell at it again and maybe give it five across the eyes. Less than 5 days left. Thank God. Hopefully I don't murder everyone I live with because I'm not used to being around them for more than like 4-5 days at a time so this 12 day stretch is going to test my sanity.

I hope someone found something in this post funny because I took like 2 minutes of my life to cut out all the really homophobic parts that would make me sound like a scumbag. I also couldn't find any funny poker hands to go with it.

*edit*
Just yelled at it, threw it's water bowl at its head. Bowl was still filled with water so now there is a fun mess for my roommate to clean up when he assumes the dog knocked it over. I felt like a really big man when the dog started to hide in the corner scared of me and shaking, but now that I've left to post about my conquest here it comes scratching again at my chamber door.

Any great advice on how to fix the dog without actually hurting it? I'm afraid that if I order "Dissing Your Dog" it won't get here nearly quick enough.

appology in advance, unintentional brag post, clearing up questions....

bob, i recently married (wedding expenses), purchased a home (down payment), and paid off all forms of debt including school for my wife as well as myself - i had 100k bankroll from playing live as well as from chopping one of the classic events (my portion 40k)... i used all but 20k of that for the various expenses listed - i have allocated 10k to retirement savings and 10k to a cash reserve which i dont touch because my paychecks have high variance due to commissions etc, so this balances out monthly lifestyle... i give myself a tiny allowance... basically for entertainment, which i worked up from 200 to 3k, i then lost it through rediculous bankroll management and frustration... now i have 400 bankroll (i guess i worked it from 200 to 400 over the course of a month rather than lost 2600 if you think about it that way) and have to play 6-12, if i loose i wait until next month's allowance etc, but thats my life at this point from a poker/finance standpoint... i hope this clears up the doubt you had...
