I'm done wasting my time arguing with people that don't want to observe the game.

[/ QUOTE ]

you have two pros who have played thousands of hours in the game and hundreds of hours with those two individual players (one of which plays once a week at most) and are telling you you're wrong, and yet we're the ones not observing the game?

[/ QUOTE ]

No offense... but my definition of "PRO" is something a little higher than a guy playing 30-60 and squeeking by.

I know the cost of living out here is WAY lower than LA... but I don't see how a "pro" could live in a state that allows the MAX bet of any poker game to be $60???

You'd have to play a ridiculous amount of hours or get absurdly lucky to make a living playing at this limit.

[/ QUOTE ]

now your just lashing out... your trying to say that if Bob makes 2BB/hour that 120/hour int a good enough income to live off of in Minnesota? Also did you ever stop to think that Bob might also play online?

that or just be good at poker.

[/ QUOTE ]

yeah... but even a winning player who books a win at 2 out of 3 or even 3 out of 4 sessions,

[/ QUOTE ]

this statement shows a fundamental lack of understanding about being a pro. 'book a win'????

[/ QUOTE ]

Yeah... I understand the hourly rate of return.. one big bet an hour... blah blah blah

however, in a very aggressive game like that... I think you have to have a certain standard deviation threshold... a max up and/or down for a day / session that you are ready / willing to reach.

That's what I'm referring to you.

Would you be willing to disclose what your hourly rate is in that game? I'm sure you keep great stats.

Are you serious? I don't know anyone with a "a certain standard deviation threshold... a max up and/or down for a day / session that you are ready / willing to reach" and I'm pretty sure the games I play are similarly aggressive. My max down is however many dollars I lose before deciding that I'm not playing as well as I should be. The max dollars I am willing to win is all of them. The max hours I am willing to play is until I think I can barely drive home safely depending on how long I have been awake and what I did before going to play poker.

However, next time any of these players are in LA... I'll have one of the boss-men at the Bike set up any game we want to play.

I just started playing more live now that they upped the max bet in WA to $40 from $20 (so 20/40 is possible) and i've seen the dumbest [censored] in these games. I've seen a guy raise PF, get 3bet, then fold 55 face up and say I know you got it, nice hand. I've seen people limp in, get raised, then fold (multiple times).

OK... I have a lot of respect for TT... so I'll try to not lash out any more.

However, I do think I'm bringing up some valid points about the possibility of cheating going on under everyone's noses... and not getting any recipricol respect. But I don't really care about that.

-AND- to tell you the truth... I don't play on line any longer cause my tax man said to stop. So in that realm... I'm a little ego-centrical. I forget that there are still alot of players making money on-line.

BTW... I think 2BB an hour in any game is a bit of a stretch (live).

i don't keep great stats. i did win $261 today though.

again, what you write doesn't make sense. why would i ever quit a great game just because i hit some magic loss number? don't answer that, as it will sidetrack the thread, but it is something you need to think about.

i read half this thread...

i have played countless hours in the cb30 game and i have played a ton w/ pbob. accusing him of colluding or knowing about colludsion is one of the most redic statements ever. but then again you played a whole 7 hours in the game so i am sure you know what you are talking about.
