This is not close. Survivorman is 10x more hardcore than Bear. Bear does some really retarded stuff that you should never do in a survival situation. Sure, it makes great TV, but floating in frigid water down a river for 4 hours is about the dumbest thing you could do. Plus, he has a full camera crew.

Don't get me wrong, I enjoy both... but there is an impending lawsuit against Discovery for someone following Bear's advice.

Finally someone with a little sanity in this thread.

you don't think jumping in an ice cold lake for fun is hardcore?

he does all that stuff to entertain people, I'm sure he knows most of it is pretty stupid but it is entertaining to watch.

This is just wrong, Survivorman is a complete VAG compared to Bear, just look at their resumes.

Bear: Hardcore ex. SAS who broke his back then climbed Mt. Everest just a couple years later

Survivor Man: Hippy liberal douche

Don't get me wrong if you want to have a blues harmonica competition while surviving in the wilderness I'm sure survivor man would blow Bear out of the water, but for who is more hardcore it's no competition
