Daniel Negreanu is one of the great gamblers of our time. He offered to play anyone for up to $10 million dollars head-up in any game (about ten different games twice). He willingly got beat out of a million dollars playing seven-card stud (which he is terrible at) against Barry Greenstein. He played (and lost big... and admitted it) the best LHE players online HU at his poker site because he believed in it. He lost a million dollars playing high stakes golf even though he probably couldn't shoot under 100 tomorrow. He lost a million in the big game and admitted it in his blog, even swallowing his pride saying that he's afraid to play that high anymore. He liberally backs players he believes in. He writes and even films a [censored] blog to let people see what his life is like. He's so weird that you know he's not just making that blog for the money aspect. There's nothing to hate about him. He's just a weird guy. Would you rather he be boring as hell and have great money management skills? Yay! I wish he was more like Greg Raymer! Gavin Smith is a complete wackjob and flat broke right now and no one says a damn thing bad about him.

I wonder what the OP is bitter about?? All this [censored] with no backup under a fake name for a new poster?? His ox got gored and he has an ax to grind.

He is dispicable. If what he said were true, he is still dispicable.

$500,000 x 10 x 2 = $9,998,672

Is that math right? Oh wait...

How much did he lose on HSP? Seems like a lot. I remember like around the fifth time that the board was 5678K with 4 clubs and he had 2 red tens and someone pushed and then he went "So sick. I can't put you on a hand bro. I call" thinking "Hmm, I think he might be losing money at this".

I don't think Daniel is broke by all means. The guy makes a lot of money from stuff outside of poker (video games, books, magazine articles, full contact, etc). Also, I don't think he plays that much poker now. Someone said he played for $10M, that's incorrect. They were matches of up to $500K of any game of the opponent's choice. After all the matches (they weren't that many) I think he finished $500K up.
Besides, in the last 4 or 5 months he made 2 WPT final tables for about $1M so that's enough money not to be broke (it's not enough for a big game bankroll)

My English teacher taught me that the first sentence of a paragraph should be a good summary or introduction to the later sentences. Guess you missed that lesson.
