I have yet to see any evidence in this thread otherwise. "The media makes him seem worse than he really is" is nice to say, but worthless unless backed up with examples.

why does any of this matter? it's not like you two have a weekly lunch date or something. he's the greatest hitter in the history of the game, and i really love watching him play. i hope some AL team sucks it up and he stays around to DH for five more years.

How about the constant reporting on all the special treatment the Giants give him.
Plenty of stars get special treatment from their teams, but you hear all the time that Bonds has 3 lockers and a recliner and a big TV.

Meanwhile Roger Clemens is deciding that the first half of the season doesn't matter and skipping road trips yet he doesn't get near the crap for that that bonds gets for having 3 lockers.

That's true (not that I could muster up the courage to say sorry [img]/images/graemlins/grin.gif[/img]), although I've heard racism thrown around alot as it pertains to Bonds, both from individuals and in the media.

My take honestly is that we know a few things about Bonds:
1) He's an [censored]- Is he the only one, nope, but he is one

2) He's seperated himself from his teamates and the fans- Is he the only one, nope but he is one

3) He's in the middle of the Steriod mess- I think it's pretty obvious he took them, although (important) it wasn't against the rules when he did. It's still viewed in the court of public opinion as cheating. Is his the only one...etc

4)Bonds is approaching one of the most hallowed record in sports: Is he the only one, n...actually yeah he is.

Because he's all of these things, I think he gets a bad rap. Now will his record get an asterisk? Barring a new revealation or admission, nope, but in the CoPO, yeah he's screwed no matter what he does.

What does this mean? Are you saying that a television interview of Bonds speaking on camera, with recorded audio and video, is somehow not accurate?
