Im 5'9" 155lbs soaking wet and I regularly carry the ball more than 300 yards.

Beat: I regularly then fat a sandwedge from the middle of the fairway

Variance: Golf Sucks

Seriously, I like to model my swing after David Toms, I'd like to hear whose swing the regular golfer thinks looks the best on tour.

I'd wager that I can hit a ball further than just about any other 2p2'er, any club you choose.

60* L Wedge

150 yds.

I think if I try to hit a feathery 40 yard flop over a bunker I could definitley hit it farther than this.

brag: i've been playing for 18 years
variance: i'm 21
beat: i hit my peak around the age of 12 or 13 when i was playing 18-45 holes literally everyday at the course my dad was head pro at
brag: my dad's a pro so i can count the times i've paid to play golf on one hand. also never paid for any clubs/shoes/bags etc.
brag(though not compared to some in this thread): best round was 70, best 9 was 33
beat: i haven't broken 75 in like 2 or 3 years bc i haven't had time to play regularly
brag: i played college golf
beat: it was division III and i didn't play much because i barely had anytime to work on my game while keeping up with school work and a social life
variance: i go to school in the northeast and we only have a fall season and because of the lack of time i have i quit the team.
brag: i made the team with the shanks for my first round of tryouts and still shot 76 that round
variance: if i turn pro in poker i will have a ton of time to play more golf and maybe i can really get back into it and possibly take a shot at going pro

Brag: I was good in HS
Brag: I caddy at Chicago Golf Club
(#28 in the 2007 Golf Digest World Rankings)
Beat: I lost my chipping
Variance: I use a big ugly looking putter (bobby grace) and like to putt when I'm still a bit into the rough

Brag:
Playing the Old Course many years ago.
I shoot a meh 40 on the front.
I get to 17 and I am one under on the back.
I put one on top of the hotel roof - then one in the grounds OB in front of it. I am laying 5 in the fairway off the tee.
Pin is back left behind the bunker in a Sunday open position. You either know what this means or don't.
I knock it 8 feet and make the putt- for a triple. best story about a triple I'll ever have.
I birdie 18 from over near the steps to shoot 40-37= 77.
Not a great round but okay- and I'll always have the comments from the caddy on the 17th.
After drive #1 "I'm not sure I've ever seen one hit there."
After #2 "A bit more left sir"
After the 6th shot "On Sunday in the Open you would have received a loud applause for that".

Beat: I shoot 86 at Carnoustie the next day (by far a tougher scoring course)

Variance: The Old Course is more "hallowed ground" than it is tough/aesthetically pleasing links. That said if I have one week to live and one course to play before dying- it is the course.

WOW! I never knew that not only are 2+2ers making tons of money every single day playing poker, but they are also routinely shooting in the mid-70's. Is there anything a 2+2er can't do?

[ QUOTE ]

maybe you missed the word in italic that says carry?

that would mean all flight, no roll

and btw, i'm not on roids.

[/ QUOTE ]

i know what carry is. i have carried drives over 300 yards many times and im sure alot of people who play golf on this forum have as well. i doubt that you could consistently hit it that far like i can.

internet long drive challenges are just as funny as 10k fights yo.

[/ QUOTE ]

It's also as funny as internet drag racing....yo!

For those that can carry 300 yrds, what's your swing speed?

My longest drive is like ~280 with the roll a bit of wind at my back. (Cleveland Ti Launcher 460, Aldila NV65s)
