Well, made my first MB deposit, $10 on to Party. They have a screen that tells you to wait, could take a couple of minutes...half an hour later, it gives me "web page cannot be found" lol. Anyway, money is gone from MB, still hasn't shown up in Party an hour later. Not sweating it too much, though, seeing as it's the first time I've used it. Whoever asked about fees earlier, only $10 was taken from my MB account. I'm assuming that the poker sites will be picking up the fees, like they did with NT.

Also, I started the credit card verification process...they make a micro-charge on your card, you come back to the website with the amount. They've increased my limit already, even though I haven't confirmed the amount yet. My 90-day transaction limit is now $5,338.80 US, up about $4,000 which I believe corresponds to 3,000 Euro.

The bank account verification is a bit more of a pain...they can't initiate it, you have to initiate it with your bank.

I've also started the address verification...apparently they will send the letter once they check my details, which will take up to 24 hours.

Thanks for the update. Please let us know if it worked for Party!

Just a word of caution on the credit card verification process. I just did it last night, so being a smarta$$, I called CIBC Visa up to ask them what the amount was.

For some reason, they told me it was $2.xx Canadian. So I'm like no, I need it in US$. Shes like ok, let me figure out the exchange rate. Ok its US$2.xx. I put that number in the verification box. And its wrong, my account is frozen for 24 hrs zomg mofo.

I call CIBC Visa back - the manager explains that they don't actually know the exact exchange rate (but they do know to charge me C$2.xx wtf?!) and that they just pre-post an amount subject to adjustment.

Also there is a $5 cash advance fee AND 19% interest on the cash advance - ON TWO DOLLARS.

Moral of story - wait until the nominal amount in US$ actually hits your paper statement. Also, be prepared to be pwned by cash advance fees and interest.

As for linking up the bank - I'm not sure if it constitutes a wire transfer, if so, TD charges $30-$80 per wire transfer according to their webapage - which seems like a large amount unless you're got a fair sized roll.

This wouldn't surprise me. However, I've just finished picking myself off the floor after my phone conversation with my credit union (Coast Capital). I carefully explained that I wanted to transfer less than $100 to a bank in Germany. She said the fee would be...wait for it...wait for it...NOTHING! Now, we'll see what they say tomorrow when I show up in my branch with my banking info...hopefully the same thing.

$10 Party deposit is still stuck out in the Interwebs, as is one I made to UB. However, I just deposited $10 into Everest, and it went through right away. Then withdrew $20 from Everest back to MB, went through fine on Everest's end...I'll see how long it takes to show up in MB. Again, no fees for depositing...$10 out of MB, $10 into Everest. If anyone paid $0.70, it wasn't me!

Cool - I'm in Vancouver so I can sign up for Coast Capital too. Now do you have a US$ bank (credit union) account at Coast Capital?

Wow, if you could link a US$ account in Canada and transfer US$ to MB and the like that would be gold. Please do let us know how it goes. I'm all excited now as there is a coast capital 3 blocks from where I work!

No, I don't have a US$ account. All I'm doing this for is to increase my limits. Once I start the money flowing back and forth, I shouldn't be needing to deposit, so I'm not really concerned. I had my Canadian $ account linked to NT, never used it. I'll likely keep using Party for withdrawals like I have in the past.

I'll advise how it goes tomorrow. Just so you know, good CU...I pay NO FEES for anything. No minimum balance required for that...you've probably seen their ads on TV here.
