i feel like very bad things are going to happen to vig.

[/ QUOTE ]

are you going to give him a *?

[/ QUOTE ]

i'm talking more about legal consequences, maybe physical, although i don't condone such things

[/ QUOTE ]

it was a joke LDO. Yeah, this douche vig deserves some pretty horrible things.

[/ QUOTE ]

its pretty apparent that he's already failed at all of the most important aspects of being a man, seems he already got what he deserves. I feel really sorry for the people for the people who depend on him, it seems they didn't get what they deserve.

can someone with good legal knowledge tell us the legal ramifications of this and how likely it is that he can get prosecuted?

[/ QUOTE ]

I would always think that if you came up to a police officer and tell them how a online community forum got duped into sending money to an imposter, that they would just laugh at you

edit:
Besides, how would this look for the poker community? I can imagine a news reported spinning this story and reporting it out of context.

you would think wrongly

having said that, a lot would theoretically depend on (for example) how willing vig's ex-gf is to testify in court

I apologize to those involved in what was a huge error in judgment on my part. I took a chance in allowing Vig to post his story based on the proof his wife had cancer and it turns out I was wrong to do so.

The thing that is truly saddening is that now BBV will no longer be a reliable place for people to come and collect money for their relatives/loved ones in need....

/end facetious observation..

I donated 300$ on stars and would be willing to sign a legal complaint if it comes to that.
