I dressed like a scrub and didn't feel too bad about it. The only place that I couldn't go was the Casino so this year I'll pack one niceish outfit. I didn't try to go to any swanky clubs but why the hell would you? Buy beers at the grocery store and drink in the park obv.

Wait.. do I need to look half decent for the tournament? The nicest piece of clothing i own is a pair of Old Navy jeans that aren't noticably ripped.

I don't plan on bringing anything more than what I normally wear. If you need something, just buy it there.

No, balla is when you buy a bunch of nice clothes with the poker money you win, so that you don't have to worry about things like "can I get into places" when you get to a foreign country. Obv Brandon Schaeffer disagrees though.

Noah,

The way Brandon made it sound, the casino might have a dress code. I doubt the EPT has a dress code, but the casino might, so you may want to check. The Aviation in Club in Paris won't let you in with ripped jeans or wearing sneakers. Personally, I feel a little out of place if everyone around me is dressed up nicely and I look like a slob. Since I've noticed that people in Europe generally dress nicer than we do here in America, I probably will try to, too.

The casino in Monte Carlo is famous for turning away even A-list celebrities for not being properly attired. I don't know if the dress code applies to the EPT event, but you may want to make sure before showing up and being told you can't play the tourney you bought/won into because you don't have the right clothes.

The only thing I don't have is a jacket. I get nice clothes otherwise. Should I buy one? It seems kinda silly, I'll never wear it anywhere else?

I'd like Yellow Sub to report in on this. I can't imagine they'd stick to their normal dress code during this tourn. Jackets? yeah, right.

I doubt the dress code is for the tournament itself, gobbomom. But I don't want to be excluded from anywhere else in monte carlo. The poker room isn't everything
