Releasing garbage like this and Legend of Kage is moronic when they have things like Dragon Warrior, Mega Man, River City Ransom, Maniac Mansion etc. available. Maybe its a rights issue and they release them as they get the rights to the games? Or do they own the rights to all of them automatically?

they make more money by releasing good and bad games instead of just releasing all of their best games first...they will get more sales on the bad games this way
us customers don't like it as much, but Nintendo is a business and this is better for business and customers can still be happy with the good ones that do come out |

The development companies decide which games to release, as they own the rights. As such, we're unlikely to see Rare games that do not feature Nintendo-created characters.
I would like to know how the release schedule is determined. At least Nintendo has put a lot of quality titles out there. A vast majority of the 3rd party games blow so far. You'd think Taito would have to line Nintendo's pockets to get games like Legend of Kage and Elevator Action ahead of other titles in the pipeline. |

For Maniac Mansion they need LucasArts, and for the Dragon Warriors they need Square-Enix (which they have, I'd expect to see all of these eventually). |

March 12, 2007 Tecmo Bowl (NES) Sonic Spinball (Genesis) Double Dungeons (TurboGrafx) [/ QUOTE ] Well, I would have prefered Tecmo Super Bowl, but will work. Can't wait til I get home and hook this up. Hopefully TSB, SMB3, and Baseball Stars are what I hope are in the mix for the future (RBI Baseball would work as well). |
