Thanks to heavy lobbying from the credit card industry, the bankruptcy laws have been changed to make it a lot tougher on people who charge up their cards, etc. Of course, 20% interest rates and universal default penalties are perfectly fair, but if average Joe gets into trouble, lets make it more difficult for him to get his life back on track. Oh well, I'm sure it will feel better in a way to end up paying a lot of it back, even after bankruptcy. I still think that people who get into life situations that put a severe strain on their finances get f--d in these spots, b/c many creditors on the other side are making a fortune irregardless. Oh well.

Life can actually get more enjoyable/you have a much better appreciation for what's important once you go through adversity and come out on the other side (my nickname connotes that I'm a lot older than I am, so I'm allowed to preach about things I know (or have read somewhere before)). Think of it as just another challenge to conquer. Best of luck, don't let the man keep you down!!

As one father to another, I can say you have your priorities in order.

You sound like a good person and a great father.

I wish you only the best in everything you do. GOOD LUCK!
