I've never watched the show but I keep seeing the ad for "special 4 hour -two night premiere". What kind of stupid gimmick crap is that? It's such a stupid idea and it doesn't even make sense, this alone makes me not want to watch. [/ QUOTE ] Most shows start around September or so and run 24 episodes until May or so. Rudimentary math shows that there are many more than 24 weeks to show 24 episodes, so most shows have long stretches where they show repeats. Fox markets 24 as being a must see every week. Therefore, they start the show in January and end in May. No repeats. Just a new episode every week. IMO, every show should be new every week. I hate repeats. A 2-day, 4-hour premiere serves another purpose--it gives the producers a chance to solve a problem over a 4 hour time line. One problem of the show is that in each episode, there is a problem and a resolution within the hour (only to have a new problem show up at the end of the hour). The 4-hour premiere solves the problem by having a longer story arc than the typical episode. |

I just watched the first four episodes of season 6 (bootleg copy). So far, I have to say looks like it will be another fanatastic season. Some real nice surprises especially episode 4. Anyone who thinks the show sucks is just a nit and just trying to be difficult.

I actually hate the "24 Hours of real time" concept. I mean, it doesn't add much other than the clock intro/outro and they do it poorly: something real suspenseful will happen before a commercial break and 4 minutes later there's no resolution of this supposedly imminent threat. And everything's supposed to happen in one day which is just ridiculous (like Habib Marwan having 7 different ways of killing everyone in LA that he just happened to save for 1 day). If this were just a normal action show where the events unfolded over the course of a week or so I think it's be better.

The only bad thing about the show as someone mentioned is the number of moles/traiters. One would think government HR departments would step it up a little

1. Jack never charges his cellphone [/ QUOTE ] Jack usually puts his cellphone in some sort of socket when he's in his car, right? Said socket can probably charge the phone. Even if I'm wrong, a phone can go without charging for 2 days, right? [ QUOTE ] 2. No one ever eats anything 3. Jack apparently has a steel bladder as well, although I suppose this could be justified by #2. [/ QUOTE ] Yes and Yes. Also, LOL at driving anywhere in LA within a commercial break. I still watch. |

One would think government HR departments would step it up a little [/ QUOTE ] CTU Mole List from memory: Season 1:Jamie (for money, recently turned) and Nina (Very deep mole Season 2:None IIRC Season 3:None IIRC (Gael does not count) Season 4:Curtis's ex (recent turn for $ IIRC) Season 5:None (Spencer was technically one, but also could be considered not a mole) Unless I'm missing some, the mole problem is not that big on 24. |

What about traitors? There were like 19 in the friggen white house alone through the seasons. [/ QUOTE ] From memory again, if wrong help me out. Season 1:None (No White House that year though) Season 2:Three (Secteray of Defense? and his aide-but they were doing a false flag plan basically, not trying to directly attack US. And Novack to an extent) Season 3:None Season 4:None Season 5:Walt & Logan (Both doing False Flag operation. Second of the series.) So none agaisnt the US, but 5 against what's right. |
