Uh yes it is. The differentiation between a "set" and "trips" is a fundamental of hold'em. If you cannot grasp this concept, then you are an idiot.

[/ QUOTE ]

Choice of words is not fundamental to hold'em.

Thanks for the confirmation of this as the general practice.

I assume you can make an agreement to do this preflop as well, in the same manner.

i loved it when Buss went broke and looks a DN, hey let me get 50 grand...DN passed it like he was asking for 20 bucks.

[/ QUOTE ]

Probably because Dr Buss could buy and sell everyone else at the table put together. Do you think DN would have done the same for the Sheik?

We should distinguish between a "set" and "trips" in holdem for obvious reasons.

Some people don't do this. Its not that big of a deal.

I think if the Sheik had asked anyone at that table for anything, Farha (being closest) would have just reached over and pulled off his nuts and passed them over to Todd who would then chow down on them.

Todd Brunson:

I think Shawn's an idiot and he's gonna lose all his money.

Hahahahahahahahaha! That's funny because it's true.

[/ QUOTE ]

Shawn is the only guy in the history of TV poker to lose a battle of wits to Mike Matusow. And Matusow has more charisma too. How does this guy get in this game?
