Anyone think this new VIP program is a big success?
Today Stars has over 111K+. That's the most I've ever seen at stars. I know stars has the 5th anniversary promotion going on, either that or we're getting all the 12 tablers back to stars going for the SN elite. |

Yeah, I didn't know about the $10k tournament they were doing.
The freerolls are probably bringing in more players I would think. Recreational-player friend of mine was pretty excited that he qualified for the $10k thing today and finished somewhere in the top 200 out of 5k players. Hard to imagine there are so many extra players just because of the SN additional levels. Not to account for an additional 10k or more in their player-numbers anyway. Definitely seems a lot more tables running at the mid-limits where I expect many of the SNE chasers to call home. But that could only be a few dozen 4-6+ tablers at the most I think. |

There is zero chance Im making supernova elite. Im hoping for the 200k or 300k vpps for the year, so I get the little cash bonuses, although I suspect 300k will be tough for me.
1 million is sick, anyone who gets it is completely sick poker junkie. |

1 million is sick, anyone who gets it is completely sick poker junkie. [/ QUOTE ] So far I got around 0.49 VPPs per hand at 1/2 NL. 12 tabling = 1000 hands/hour = 490 VPPs per hour = 2kish hours in 365 days? I'm not sure how VPP accumulation goes up with relation to limits, but if you regular work-day type hours playing poker and wanna 12 table 1/2 NL all year, seems possible -- but definitely sick. Just the discipline attained from such a feat would far outweigh all the Elite benefits in my mind, not to mention the PTBB you could make playing 1.5 mil hands. |

[/ QUOTE ] Most people work 8 hours/day, so I don't see why this is that different. And really, you'd be fine only 8-10 tabling if you're playing 40 hours/week imo. |
