One on one is a slightly different story. If we are comparing the world's best of each individual catagory then we have to consider fighting styles individualy also. I would rank as follows.
5th Boxer - Most boxers are 1 dimensional in training and their fighting style so I would rank them last. The boxer might stand a chance against the street fighter but all the others would have more advanced technique's such as grappling and throat chopping etc.. 4th Street fighter - The street fighter is at a disadavantage mainly because in street fighting you usually uses weapons basicly anything you can get your hands on. However in this case there is nothing to use but your body or the opponents. The only reason I rank him/her higher than the boxer is because of the broad styles of fighting that he/she may have knowledge of especially in a death match. 3rd Navy Seal - Again these are the best of the best and I esteem these as the military elite in many areas. Therein is the problem and therefore the lower rank, they are trained in much more than hand to hand combat. They have to be experts in everything from stealth ops to map reading, weapons training and the list goes on and on. Also they dont have the fight experience that the Ultimate fighter has. If anyone knows a Navy seal ask them how many hand to hand fights they got into, see what Im saying. Majority of what they do is not physically combative. 2nd UFC fighter - Yeah these guys are bad ass, relentless, blood thirsty fight mongers that will anihilate the majority of this field but against the best martial arts fighter in the world I dont think so. Especially when the weight of each fighter is equal. Martial arts is too dynamic and most masters are skilled in more than just one art. That leaves me with the final answer and clear cut winner of this event... 1st Martial Arts Fighter . |

you're confusing armed combat trained guy(seal) vs and unarmed combat trained guy(ufc). in a fire fight the seal would win but in an unarmed combat like this thread was talking about, the seal is f***ed. seals unarmed training is minimal compared to the fighter. but the seal wins a gunfight every time. [/ QUOTE ] It was specified that the SEAL is the foremost hand to hand combat expert in the SEALs. And again, he is not trained to score points, knock people over, put them into submission holds, or stand there and trade blows until one or the other falls over. He is trained to kill, as quickly, quietly, and effortlessly as possible. I will concede that the SEAL would not be as big a favorite in a series of one on one matches--I was giving him a big boost based on his endurance and training in tactics and threat identification, under the mistaken assumption this would be a free for all. But he is still clearly the favorite. |

"He is trained to kill, as quickly, quietly, and effortlessly as possible."
funny because mma specialist regularly train military and law inforcment how to as kill as quickly and effortlessly as posible. where do you think these moves come from? martial arts, and ufc fighters are the elite masters of martial arts. lol at any death move a seal has that a fighter doesn't know. the elite armed forces and law enforcement agencies bring in ufc fighters for seminars to teach the soldiers, not the other way around. |

Remove the gloves. Broaden the rules. Increase the size of the fighting area. Then what? [/ QUOTE ] If the "enclosure" is like a walled in uninhabited jungle island I think the nod has to go to the Navy Seal. PairTheBoard |

Do the fighters know who they are fighting before the fight? How much do they know and how long do they have to prepare?
The more they know and and the longer they have the more I favor the navy seal. He will use the info and time to the greatest advantage as he has planned to kill in the past and the others never have. |

this link basicaly says the same thing i said. that is that seals pretty much train mma, but they do it very limited and would prefer to just shoot you. now the ufc guy trains it all day every day. |

[ QUOTE ] Anyone have a youtube url for any of those Ultimate Fighters? Or web site with video? [/ QUOTE ]this guy kicks ass http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TZLUUMa9fTU [/ QUOTE ] Seriously? It's like two girls flailing at each other. I've seen some cool MMA stuff, but filling this highlight film with mostly boxing clips was a mistake. They're the worst boxers i've ever seen. |
