a lot of people just assume the most famous US sports celebrity is the most famous person in the world.
what countries is golf popular? US, UK, ireland, n ireland, scotland, new zealand, australia, canada. do you see a theme? english speaking countries only. how about all of south america, all of asia (china has only 200 courses as of 2005), africa (except s africa)? outside of the english speaking countries, people dont play golf. why would people in india/brazil/china/argentina know who the golfers are? |
