The entire scene on the airport runway was ridiculous. Bond and the guy driving the gas truck are just slapping eachother back and forth for an hour? The cops shoot out the tires on a LEAKING GAS TRUCK with a [censored] machine gun? Yeah, totally safe.

I mean cmon its a bond film... but i agree this was the weakest fight scene in the film.

But for example, you really weren't impressed by the chase scene at the start of the movie? i thought it visually looked great though obviously totally unrealistic, even the way the scene ended at the embassy was pretty sick.

Just seen it, was a bit disapointed after all the good reviews, i thought it was a bit slow and boring, but more importantly when they sit down at the poker game the dealer says the name of the guy in seat one and I'm sure his name was Senor (sp?) Diablo. did anyone else notice that or am I just imagining that there's a 2+2 reference in a James Bond film?

Can you imagine someone being whipped in the back and someone laughs to deal with the pain?

Default Drink order?

What was the drink that Bond ordered at the poker game prompting 3 other people to get one? Something over ice with a twist.....

Phresh have you seen Fight Club? The coping method that Bond used looked completely ripped out of Tyler Durden to me, and I thought it worked well in both films.

It's not like Bond wasn't hurt, you could see he was practically crying as he said the joke. It's just something that shows the audience how strong his character is supposed to be, and how a 00 isn't supposed to crack under any interrogation methods.

Craig was awesome.
The first 20 minutes were fantastic.
The first half was pretty good.
The second half was really not good in my opinion.

I love Bond, I'm looking forward to seeing Craig again. But the second half of this movie kills it. The poker tournament is absurd, premise and details. The movie blows its wad in the first action scene. There's really no satisfying finish.

I was disappointed, I regret to say.

What scene are you referring to? Tyler being punched in the face by Lou? I'm not saying people can't laugh off pain.. it's been used in many movies before. But laughing off being hit in the nuts and encouraging someone to hit you in the nuts again is ridiculous. Maybe I just can't imagine it because I am in pain just thinking about it.

wow, I'm the only one who thought this movie was awful? Possible spoilers below:

-poker scenes sucked horribly
-007 and the other d-bag are slowrollers
-no cool gadgets, no q, barely any kills
-tons of ridiculous twists that make no sense
-stupid love scenes and bond is a vagina
-007 gets racked in the nuts 437 times in a row and he's cracking jokes? hell no.
-wtf is going on?
-movie is way too long
-dear god, i know its a bond flick and all, but why does every movie have to have ridiculous computer scenes? you can't zoom in 700000 times from outer space and check out what size of shoe someone is wearing.
-movie is boring as hell
-terribly predictable, nothing puts you on the edge of your seat

[/ QUOTE ]

i agree with this post... can someone explain how any part of the plot makes any sense?

I do think it's lame as hell that Bond doesn't smoke! I mean cmon the guy says that he doesn't expect to live long, why the hell would he care about lung cancer and old age. Bunch of PC [censored].

[/ QUOTE ]

This also irritated me. C'mon, the book Bond smokes 3 packs a day.
