Definitly cary. You are within your legal rights to do so unless the owner of the property asks you not to (which they won't if you don't print) at which point you would have to leave if they ask you to.
The whole point of concealed carry is that you never know where you might need it. While I don't consider small stakes poker games particularly dangerous, they are probably more dangerous than a random 4 hours of your life, and as such I certainly wouldn't pick them as a location to NOT carry. I would, however offer two pieces of unsoliced advice: 1) Downsize to a S&W 640 or similar for situations like this. The Glock frame is huge, and prints far to easily. 2) Remember never to draw except as an immediate prelude to shooting to save your life (or that of an innocent person you're willing to risk your life to protect). Under all other scenarios, including a mere robbery of the poker game, keep it in the holster. BTW, leaving the gun in the car is dumb because the car doesn't need it, can't use it, and unless you have a safe in the car can't stop someone from stealing it. |

[/ QUOTE ] Uh, unless there is some point in the 11 pages of this thread where the poster mentioned what kind of Glock he would be carrying, I'm going to have to give that comment a big WTF? The medium framed Glocks (9mm, .40, .357 Sig and .45 GAP) come in three different sizes- Duty, Compact and subcompact. The Compacts can be easily concealed with an IWB holster, the subcompacts can be carried in a loose-fitting pocket (unless you're 5'5 and 120 pounds). Even the duty sized guns can be easily concealed by most people with the proper CCW gear. The subcompacts are actually a lot flatter than a J frame .38 and are LESS inclined to print. Most people can CCW a compact large frame Glock (.45 ACP and 10MM G29's and G30's), and a particularly big guy wouldn't have any trouble concealing a full size large frame (G20's and 21's) with an IWB. Gun technical details aside... In our home game, precisely no one carries although anyone would be welcome to. If I can trust them in my home to begin with, I have no problem with them being concerned about their well-being, particularly while carrying large amounts of cash. |

Actually, a chick that plays in my home game usually has her revolver in her purse, and it's never been an issue. If you generally carry wherever you go, then it's a fair assumption to carry to a home game. I would ask the host, because it isn't something you'd like to just "come up" in conversation. At my place, she's welcome to bring her piece, but it stays in her purse andher purse stays away from the table. If a guy wanted to bring a gun, no problem, but it would not be welcome at the table. But in NC, it's kinda a given that half the people in any building own guns, so regional differences in attitude may apply.

It's not just this thread. Your OP started some new 2+2 lore. There are references to your glock all over.
Congrats on starting a meme. |

The answer is yes, DUCY? and what if the host puts on a really good movie? I mean so good that you may have to bust a few shots off? You would hafta run out to the car, unlock it, get the gun, come back inside and by then the moment will have passed and you'll look silly. |
