My friend and I both wanted to walk out on The Fifth Element but we were too young to drive so we were stuck there until the movie ended either way. We were bored out of our minds because we had absolutely nfi what was going on in the movie.

In the old days people used to "walk out" of movies as some kind of show of disgust or as some kind of "statement." Nowadays, as expensive as it is to go to the theatre, I dont see people "walking out" so much anymore.
Like in the old days you'd be standing in line for the next show because the lines were very long and there was only one screen, and you'd see some old couple and they'd be talking to everyone how the "walked out" because the movie was so offensive, etc. I remember seeing "The Big Chill," with my mom and dad and my dad and I were so bored we "walked out." Another film with Richard Dryfuss "Who's Life is it Anyways" was so utterly depressing we just left. One time we walked out of another boring movie and snuck into another one in the adjacent theatre that turned out to be hilarious. One time my dad fell asleep in the movie theater and was snoring so loudly I had to wake him up because it was disturbing the other people. One time he sneezed so loudly it scared the hell out of the whole row in front of him. Nowadays you pay $7.50 for a ticket and popcorn and whatnot, the movie has to be pretty damned rotten before you "walk out". ROFL. -J |

Never walked out of a movie that was bad; however, I have walked out of Ride the High Country when the projectionist forgot the anamorphic lens, Seabiscuit when it was way too dark, and a couple others when people were making too much noise.

Reality Bites:
This film literally made me want to puke. Night in the Life of Jimmy Reardon: I don't even remember most of it, except that he got himself into huge trouble by acting like an idiot and then blackmailed his dad into getting him out of it because his dad had been sleeping around. Asinine. |

I didn't walk out of The Aristocrats; in fact I found it hilarious, but about 2/3 of the audience did walk out.

I agree, Ferris Beuler is nauseating.

$7.50? What backwards, poverty-stricken town do you live in?

I've never walked out of a movie theatre.
I had "Team America - World Police" and "Super Troopers" on my hard drive. I just couldn't get into them. Both were deleted without watching. |
