I was playing 5/10NL at the Rio during WSOP time with 7k behind. Some typical live dooshe was wasting everyones time and being a real plug with his table talk and stalling. Anyways I felt if I pissed him off itd loosen up the whole table and maybe relieve him of his 5k stack.

6handed I raised QT s00ted UTG to 40 sb calls and the plug calls.

Flop KJ8 off suit they check to me I bet 110 sb folds plug makes it 310, I call. Turn was a blank and he checks to me again so I check back.

River pairs the blank again and he bets out 650. I think for about a minute and a half and felt that he could have T9 and either way I wanted to loosen the table up so I called and ask him if he can beat Qhigh and he looses his mind on me and tells me how Im the worst poker player ever as he mucks his hand........He later stacked off to my friend so all was well.

PS I was on my way to offside drunk at the time...gotta love the free drinks in Vegas

this past spring- started the week off playing .50-1 NL...where I was a smallish winner(3bb/100 i think over a lot of hands)

played a $50 donkament wednesday night. Just had that feeling that I was gonna kill and and i took it down for $3200. My BR at the time was about 3k.

4 days later, the 3rd tournament I had played after my win was the 50k $30 R/A on PokerRoom. took that down for $12300.

so in 4 days took a 3k roll to over 18k, all from 2 donkaments.

if i had lost all 4 of those.. i dont even know if id still be playing poker.. kinda sick. oh, and my second finest moment was second in last night's PLO wcoop for 93k. ship it! holla

i took a job out of college and wasn't playing poker so much.

i tossed some money onto party and played four SnGs, cashing in all of them.

Proceeded to play 25NL-->50-->100-->200-->600/1000 (not quite so linear of course). Eventually, I no longer was really working (lol @ telecommuting), just playing poker. So, i quit my job.

4 SnGs------------------->Pro Gambler....SnGs are a gateway drug.

I cant think back at any certain moment or a specific hand. But im proud of how far I have come since I started just barely a year ago and after my initial deposit of $100 I havent looked back. 6 SnG's>11SnG's>>22's>33's>nl50>nl 100>>>>>>>nl2000. Reading posts like this really [censored] up my bankroll though. When I would take shot i would take them in big mtt's because I would read about some superstar 2+2er who a year prior entered a sunday tournament with a $1200 roll and took 2rd, then started dominating HSNL. So I never ever made a substantial cash in a tournament and still in a year have made a [censored] load of money. I take it back. I took second in a 180/$22 then burnt that playing the nightly tournament on stars everyday for a week.

Hustling theBruiser500 at a prop bet where he gave me 2 to 1 that I couldn't drink 3 ~14oz glasses of water and 2 ~14oz glasses of beer in 2 mins.

Done with 10 seconds to spare baby~

I like this prop bet. Could you explain to me what order you did it in and if you did it all as fast as possible of if you took a few second breaks and stuff. I might try this for fun. haha

A couple years ago, I was at the Taj, playing 1-2NL while waiting for a 2-5 table(they weren't too common there at the time). Mike Caro was there for a poker conference of some sort, and he sat at my table. Dude played crazy as hell, and after a minute I figured what the hell, and joined in the fun. Wildest 1-2 live game I've ever seen, and it was awesome. Only made a couple hundred, but the most fun I've ever had.

Honorable mention: playing a $80 rebuy tourney at Borgata, flopped quads on the bubble, and induced another player into bluffing off all his chips with ace-high on the river. Awesome. 7k for the win was cool, too, but that was the moment of the tourney for me.
