I'm seriously calling PPT tommorrow and asking if I can audition to replace these spares. Geez Prahlad's rapping is easier to listen to than this dribble

Good Lord. The chip leader...Bigler? Is this guy better than I thought or just running very, very lucky?

[/ QUOTE ]
I don't know why people think Bigler is a douche. He seems to have an uncanny ability to get into all in situations preflop with the best of it. I can't remember an all in hand in the PPT episodes where Bigler has been the underdog.

Raymer won the WSOP playing pre-flop poker like Bigler and most people respect Raymer's play.

I must preface this by saying that I don't plat NLHE nor do I play tourneys...strictly a limit player.

Can someone please explain what may have been going through Helppi's mind when he folded 10's against Fischman when the board only showed 8 high and a rainbow? Would he have been putting Fischman on a set? Or overcards? To me, it seemed like a tight laydown given the scenario and the player he was against but maybe it was a great laydown.

[/ QUOTE ]

This is an easy call in a limit game or possibly even a NL cash game against some players, but in a tournament situation with survival at a premium you have to have to really have a good read that your opponent is bluffing to risk all or virtually all of your chips, which I believe was the case here. He figured there were better spots to get all his chips in, it was still relatively early in the tourney, so he folded.

I've said it before and I'll say it again. People hate Bigler because he looks like and Ewok, and everyone hates Ewoks.

I got a kick out of Raymer's comments after he got knocked out. "He's either a genius or a moron for making that call." Then when the reporter tried to pin him down he said that he was probably a genius. Cmon Greg, you really thought he was a moron didn't you?

[/ QUOTE ]

Does anyone know the hand he was talking about? Yes, it didn't really sound like a compliment.

My guess is that Magriel called a longshot without having the implied odds for it because Raymer was short. Otherwise I cannot imagine Raymer making such a comment.

Fossilman where are you? Details plz

They didn't show any of the hand on TV...I'd be very curious as to what the HH was.

I'm speculating here but I think Fossilman bluffed the river with air and Magriel called with something like bottom pair.

Has anyone ever seen Hoyt Corkins make a GOOD play? Every single had of substance I've seen him in, in every tourney I can remember, involves him putting in most or all of his chips as a huge underdog and then catching cards to win.
