I want to say how nice it is to see the loser of the hand, seat 3 i think, handle it with such class. He didnt throw a fit. Mike would have flipped the table, at least torn up the cards.

Notice I didn't say what I would do, probably rack up and leave. I missed the beginning of the show is seat 3 a businessmen or professional? If he's a 'whale' then losing 16k may be laughable if not for having such a skillful call be shot to hell. I'm not sure Ed would have had such a problem losing that pot...

Subject: WSOP Winner Severely Over Paid

Dave

ESPN showing Main Event tonight and they are bragging about the $12 Million Dollar 1st place prize Money...

Why don't they just be honest and advertise it Winner take All Tesaz Holdem Poker Lottery. WSOP should stand for Winner Severely Over Paid

The WSOP Payout Stinks - Let's Cap the Top Prize and pay 25% of large fields.

(If you read this and write for a blog or magazine consider this for a topic)

You paid $10000 to play and what did you get???

What if ????
This year had 8773 entrants and if you beat 7900 players and just got into the money (873rd) you got $10,616

Last year had 5619 entrants and if you beat 5018 players and just got into the money (560th) you got $12,500

That's right last year you would have outlasted 2872 additional players and this year you would have received less money for it!

What if ????
This year if you beat 8703 players and finished in 170th spot you got $47,006

Last year if you beat 5449 players and finished in 170th spot you got $46,245

This year had an approximate 64% increase in the number of players...This year the 170th spot share increased by less than 2% over last .

That's right you would have outlasted 3254 additional players. Those 3254 had contributed $32.540,000 in increased gross entry fees and you would have made a measly $761 more.

When the tournament was down to the last $150 players there was enough moeny left in the prize pool that every player could have chopped for approximately $500,000 each...

Where did it go ... to the Winner so that Harrah's and ESPN could brag. .. 1st place this year $12,000,000 1st place last year was $7,500,000

This year had an approximate 64% increase in the number of players...This year the winner's share increased by 62% over last .

Only suckers would think that playing in the main event of the World Series is a better investment than placing your $10.000 entry fee on red at the Roulette Wheel.
