After receiving your emails we have investigated the issue in order to isolate the events to which you referred and to then determine the cause. As our players will know all too well, MANSIONPoker has experienced its share of instability during its early months of operation. We have been able to determine that a combination of events occurred on 28 July 2006 that did result in the same hand being dealt to two separate tables. The cause of the error was diagnosed to be a game result being delivered to Game 3211077 at which time the server controlling that game lost connection with the main Poker controller. This caused the main controller to then reallocate that decision to Game 3211099 on a separate node of the poker network. We have on 21 August made changes to our main Poker controller to ensure this situation cannot reoccur and have over the past days undertaken extensive system testing to verify the changes have worked. MANSION prides itself on the quality of our products and the degree of trust our Members hold in us. We have taken your concerns very seriously and sincerely hope that our efforts to promptly address the cause are seen as a true and genuine attempt to retain the trust and confidence of our members and that of the industry at large. We very much appreciate you taking the time to help us improve our Poker system. It would have course been easier for you to simply choose to play elsewhere but the fact that you took the time to let us know is greatly appreciated and we look forward to having you as a MANSION member for many years to come. Kindest regards, Ms Theresa Lee MANSION Member Services Manager |

Why don't things like this ever happen to respected 2p2ers with 2000+ posts. [/ QUOTE ] how many respected 2p2 posters are there? say 10k at most. how many "unknown" internet poker players are there? the rest. |

Thanks for following up.
Glad they are admitting they have/had a problem. But it does bring up other concerns of course. "This caused the main controller to then reallocate that decision to Game 3211099 on a separate node of the poker network." Anyone else find it strange that the entire set-up for the hand would be sent to the next table in one big block like that? Why not just have the RNG continually shuffling or something like that? Also - Mansion had an issue (which they confirmed) with their video-poker in their casino in which any of your discards could be put back into the shuffle and then re-appear in your hand. This gave the player an extra 3+% disadvantage I believe. Between the shuffle problem at their VP in their casino and the shuffle problem they have now admitted to in this ring-game and one should seriously reconsider whether they really want to play on that site or not. |
