I ate a handful of napkins in high school once for $5. I didn't poop like a week.

This bet seems to have some type of reverse implied odds on future prop bets with your friend. If you successfully complete this I see no way you can extract value from the friend at any point in the future.
That said- don't die because I really want to hear/see the results.
This thread is awesome.

First of all I tried to look around as to where to put this and I couldnt find ne thing so sorry if this is the wrong spot and I need to move it.

Pretty simple: I have a hundred dollar bet with a friedn that I cannot eat an entire large white cotton shirt in 24 hrs. Any thought on this being super easy, me dying, or me just having a really bad day?

I *think* that it would just be like eating too much fiber and you'll like become constipated/vomit and should see a doctor. However, I don't know what effect dyes and whatnot would have. But of course, I am not a doctor so perhaps you could do some serious damage.

I guess a medium sized t-shirt would weigh about 200g. RDA of roughage is ~25g. That's a pretty severe overdose.

If it were me, I would try and eat a third of the shirt in 8 hours, drinking lots of water. In addition to the shirt, I'd try and eat a lot of carbohydrates and some protein. Hopefully, if you eat enough you'll pass out the enough shirt before the next 8 hours. Hopefully

I also think you'd have to be a total chump to consider doing it for less than $1k.

the easy answer is to eat it all at once, collect the money, then while your friends not looking vomit it all back up

After reading this, I don't even feel so good about WEARING cotton, let alone eating it.

What if you took some Ex-Lax right before you ate it? Maybe that would help you get rid of it quicker, thus limiting the amount of time the T-Shirt stayed in your body. Dunno, just a thought.

I ate some sauce a week ago which had Inuline in it, which is an indigestible carbohydrate.

I had stomach cramps so bad I thought some alien was trying to eat his way out of me.

I think a cotton shirt will have about the same effect.
