[ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] I'd take ARam over Atkins and Zimmerman [/ QUOTE ] Atkins, fine. ZIMMERMAN?! [/ QUOTE ] Plus Atkins plays half his games in Coors. [/ QUOTE ] Do yourself a favor and look up his home/away splits before you make any more comments as idiotic as this one. His OBP and slugging are both 30 points higher on the road. Don't be stupid. |

[/ QUOTE ] Yea, too bad Aram doesnt play in a hitter friendly ballpark. [/ QUOTE ] Coors is friendly 100% of the time. Not sure about this year, but last year the wind blew in more times than out if I remember correctly. |

[/ QUOTE ] That doesn't change the fact that his numbers are helped at home. If he wasn't at coors, the discrepancy may be 60 or 70 pts. Illogical argument you used. |

hahahahahahahah
I guess that's about as good of a counter argument I could expect from a Cubs fan. Better luck next time. |

[ QUOTE ]
The interesting thing is more and more teams are going to be stuck in this situation. With all of the expansion, teams will only win about 1 title in 30 years. Combine that with the all-or-nothing mentality that seems to be getting stronger (where runner-up is a failure), and there are going to be lots of disappointed fan bases into the future. [/ QUOTE ] This is a good observation. Maybe they could replace the All-Star Game with a World Series, and have two a year as in the minors, or more teams could make a cult out of losing and satisfy their fans that way. |

[ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] I'm not sure why Cedeno is listed by several people as a 'keeper,' he sucks out loud. [/ QUOTE ] He's a rookie with very good speed and has the potential to be a gold glover. [/ QUOTE ] .255/.280/.338 [/ QUOTE ] I understand. His numbers aren't good, but guys don't get better by giving up on them after 3 months. He has a lot of talent. Also, right now he's in a very bad slump which probably makes his numbers look worse than they really are. [/ QUOTE ] I'm not sure The Cubs' system is the best place for a young player like Cedeno to learn plate discipline. |

We def. need a new hitting instructor. |
