[ QUOTE ]
What I didnt really understand; didnt tony set vito up, and let Phill kill him? Why was he so pissed? Was it just becasue of the pool cue? [/ QUOTE ] Tony was about to take care of it himself. Phil beat him to it after Tony told Phil to but out and that it was none of his business. So basically, Tony told Phil to lay off, but Phil did it anyways. |

[ QUOTE ] who was the fat guy they killed? [/ QUOTE ] fat guy killed was one of Phil Reotardo's captains (he actually helped kill Vito I think) [/ QUOTE ] Another note on the huge guy that Sil and the captain killed: I'm 90% sure he was in the commercial for "King Size" clothing that ran for years and years. I hope someone else remembers that. |

Also, there is a lot of subtle stuff that imo, is a tribute to other mob movies, the fat guy yelling when he was getting stabbed sounded exactly like the guy in Millers Crossing.

Quit being such [censored] nits. It was a great scene that features a slightly implausible situation. [/ QUOTE ] Nah, it was pretty bizarre. Was he expected to drive to work, illegally, with this gaping hole in the windshield? |

Was he expected to drive to work, illegally, with this gaping hole in the windshield? [/ QUOTE ] I doubt tony thought that through before he smashed the windsheild, but after, he did make fun of him saying it was probably going to be a little chilly on the way to work this morning, or something along those lines. |

minus the 30 minutes in paris Holy [censored] it was so unnecessary. The only point of the entire part was
1: to get carmella away from home so tony could start beatin AJs ass 2: to show that carmella truly isnt happy with her life and she realizes there is so much beyond waht she knows Could have been summed up in a minute and other more important storylines could have been developed |

[/ QUOTE ] January [ QUOTE ] 1: to get carmella away from home so tony could start beatin AJs ass [/ QUOTE ] You must not have been watching very closely because Tony didn't beat AJ's ass. It seems after the session with Dr. Melfi he realized he shouldn't beat him, but rather beat or take away something that is important to AJ. |

[ QUOTE ] What I didnt really understand; didnt tony set vito up, and let Phill kill him? Why was he so pissed? Was it just becasue of the pool cue? [/ QUOTE ] Tony was about to take care of it himself. Phil beat him to it after Tony told Phil to but out and that it was none of his business. So basically, Tony told Phil to lay off, but Phil did it anyways. [/ QUOTE ] Yeah, Tony asked Vito to go to the mall. That's where Carlo was going to kill Vito. Vito was killed in his hotel room. And he was pissed because 1) Vito was a made man; 2) (more importantly) Vito was Tony's captain. If you remember last year, a big deal was made about Phil wanting to kill Tony's cousin (Tony B). Tony S wouldn't let him because Tony B was part of Tony S's family. Yesterday's situation was similar. Phil wanted to kill one of Tony's men. Tony believed that it was Tony's responsibility to take care of it himself. By Phil killing Vito, Tony's worrying that he's letting it be known that Phil can touch people in Tony's crew without fear. |
