several things could be going wrong, sooo...

1--Variance---300 big bets should be your bankroll...you have lost only 120 big bets, so you still have quite a way to go to confirm that its not just a bad flux...

2--Tells?---you might be tipping your holdings...are you talking at the table too much? In a big rush to get you chips into the pot, cards into the muck? Try reading Caro's Book of Tells...Meanwhile, just clam up and play--remember, these old timers you are playing against have all kinds of life & poker experience on you, so they may have a read on you (hell, being a parent one sure hears a lot of stories & gets experience at sorting out truth)

3--game selection--the rake & tip are probably soaking out a lot of your winnings...below 3/6 is hard to beat with the B&M rake/tip structure

4--your play---do you bluff? if you do stop, those folks will never fold...just bet for value, and check-raise when you can

5--which set of starting hands are you using from SSHE? The tight or loose game ones? I would recommend using the tight ones...but recognize that top pair unimproved will often not stand up when their are several players in the hand...anyway, whichever you are using, switch to the other

anyway, play it for fun, and remember, if you are smart enough to earn money at gambling, you are smart enough to earn far more doing something else...

You've almost nailed my reasons for no longer playing limit.
Sure, It can be beat. But if you go on a cold card run, theres nothing you can do except lose money. Dont even want to talk about the [censored] Ive seen ppl beat me with.

I have been there, Someone posted on this who folds for $2 with any hand when you are getting 20-1 dog, and your getting 40-1 on your money. I hope noone does, it doesnt matter what happens you need to relax. I lost 370 on 2-4 a long time ago, and posted just like you did, and got flamed it took me months to really understand what people where saying. RELAX if your playing low limit Hold em your gonna get your PP cracked all the time, I like to play a few more drawing hands in these scenarios. Relax again, your tilting on this post I understand.

[ QUOTE ]
Every single time i've had AA (4 times) i've lost to someone drawing out to two pair or better.

[/ QUOTE ]
Not possible.

[ QUOTE ]
I figure i will bank a ton of money, but the complete opposite has happened to me.

[/ QUOTE ]
I don't believe you. It is impossible for a math genius to lose at poker.

[ QUOTE ]
Even more, when im the one on opened ended straight or a flush draw, it never comes!

[/ QUOTE ]
Now I know you are lying. Draws hit 98% of the time.

[ QUOTE ]
I've had about 20 pocket pairs that i've limped with (5+ players preflop makes it profitable). I've never made a set on the flop.

[/ QUOTE ]
Not possible. Pocket pairs flop a set 99% of the time.

[ QUOTE ]
But losing with these draws and premium hands each time is STATISCALLY impossible.

[/ QUOTE ]
True. I think you were in a crooked game.

Stop playing live poker, stick to online if it drives you this crazy. You are also underrolling yourself in the B&M. When I sit down at a 2-4 I have at least $100 in front of me. Same for my 3-6 but I know that I am underroling myself there, I should try to sit with $120. Think about moving up in limits in B&M where players won't do this as often. Note, I said OFTEN. Fishies and donkies exist everywhere at every limit. Otherwise just stick with online if you are more comfortable there. Who knows someday you may hit the bad beat jackpot at your table if everyone plays like this and then you are looking at some really good money.

If you play .5and$1 poker you have plenty of time on yoru hands, so do this little exercise. Deal yourself 10 hands (ie 10 old men seeing a flop and calling down), and then flop turn and river, and see how often one pair wins. YOU NEED A BIG HAND TO WIN A BIG POT. One pair is NOT a big hand

The pots are huge! At these tables, there will normally be 7 players that see the flop! 3 that call until showdown!

[/ QUOTE ]

If this is true, just fold everything preflop but AA, KK, and maybe AK and QQ. Never fold postflop and say "nice hand" a lot. You'll win money.
