i was on a cross-country bike trip over a summer that lasted about 9 weeks, with us biking an average of 80 miles every day. somewhere around kansas people decided that as a group we couldn't kick a keg (there were like 27 of us or something) in one night. this discussion came up at least once a day (as well as how many of us would it take to beat up a gym full of 8th graders, and could the world's strongest soccer player kick someone's head and sever it completely from his body). i'm fascincated by this obsession with finishing a keg... do they have this anywhere but in america? maybe some of you foreigners could chime in.
well when we got to our day off in tahoe we actually almost kicked 3 of them... maybe 2 3/4 between 27 people who had just biked a crapload and who aren't huge drinkers in like 6 hours. that being said, pjn, i am more than confident that you could live up to this challenge. (unfortunately, we never settled the other two big questions of the trip) |

Well, that's it...
Here it is: 1. Challenger (the person(s) not drinking) chooses the beer (less than 10% alochol by volume) 2. Loser buys the keg 3. It's done at an independent's house 4. No vomitting 5. Drinkers must have an escort when they go to the bathroom 6. A trap must be set up to catch foam and waste... less than one half a pitcher is allowed to be deemed as 'true' waste How about those for the rules. Can we get some action on that? |

[/ QUOTE ] This seems retarded to me. This is a fairly tough challenge as it is. To start, (1) A reasonably light beer should be chosen. You're not going to make them do this with Guinness, right? I think a bud light / miller light or something would be appropriate. (4) I believe vomitting should be allowed, so long as it's not forced. (5) They can goto the bathroom unattended so long as their drinks are not taken in with them (6) I believe they can allow at least 10 cups worth of foam/waste, possibly more. Even though kegs hold around 160 12oz equivalent cups, I don't think we've ever gotten more than 140-150 out of them due to all the foam. I'll buy a pitcher of beer for those two if they manage to win this prop bet. Condition: it must be the same beer as was in the keg. -Z |

Another thought:
Can anyone provide a breathalyzer? I'm not quite sure how safe it is to drink all this much. Should probably be monitored occasionally so BAC doesn't get much over .25 or so.... |

[/ QUOTE ] As far as I know, if you are only drinking beer, it is damn near impossible, if not entirely impossible to die of alcohol poisoning because of all the water that is in beer. Also, unless you steal a breathalyzer from the police, I doubt you will get it to read higher than .12 or something like that to discourage making a game out of who can get more drunk. |
