No No these guys were betting my hands the whole session. I played this session at lowest aggression rate I've played in months. 18/7/1.4. Pots were averaging about 9 BB.

I was +EV calling the flop IMO given the players and the pace of previous hands. You hadda be there. I won 40+ BB in 95 hands this session. 18% VPIP, 33% to showdown, 55% won at showdown, 40+ BB winner. Passive is the new aggressive!!!!

Sorry for talking poker in the NC thread. Anyway, . I know flopping a good hand brings with it intense urges to slowplay, but just calling KK on that flop, 6-way, is simply awful. You want to be results oriented because the guy rivered his flush or whatever. You should be looking at what happened on the flop and turn. CO and BB got 4 cards postflop for one small bet in a 10+ bet pot. UTG+1 was "betting your hands" but he didn't bet the turn.

Winning money short term doesn't mean you played well. Maybe every other hand was expertly played, but this one is bad.

Default Re: Happiness is Miles reviewing my hand BUT NOT PLAYING AT THE TABLE!

You are right of course. And I didn't play all that well during this session. The results amazed me though and reinforced my notion that winning at poker is sometimes about playing at tables that develop big pots. Trying to beat uber tight aggro studs like you and others of your skill level is too dang much work!!! And believe it or not we are seeing more players at my stakes level that aren't much fun either. This session was an anomoly because of the looseness and the large pots these guys generated.

Default a no so decent pic from my home game

3 sets.

Those are Queens and a A7Q flop.(cell phone cams suck) I've got the QQ, guy to my right makes a min raise, I pump it pretty g00t and 88 moran calls then AA guy pushes short (I've got him covered)and I push and 88 guy calls. I pay AA set guy something like t125 and nearly double from 88 guy.

home games are sooooo rigged.

miles, guinness extra stout = teh yum. I haven't drank a dark beer in quite a few years and I was pleasantly suprized. Of course I was washing them down with 16 oz bud lights. I have to admit, when I poured the first one I was like, Oh s$hit, wtf is this? Much better than SNPA.

BTW, those are full tilt plastic cards. those of you looking for a good deck and have FTP points, not a bad deal.

Default High limit + never folding = success

You just raise your good hands preflop, that's it.

Once you raise 'em up, you just go to showdown regardless of what happens postflop. Pretty easy actually.
