Does anyone know what the reason was for Neteller ceasing gaming transfers by Canadians?

1) Probably right about confidentiality - While I don't think it's confidential information and I don't care if he's a V.P., I hear what you're saying. I'll play with that a little bit and probably take it out.. [/ QUOTE ] Eric, Maybe this is the problem... give the man due respect!!! [ QUOTE ] 2) They have not answered the question why they can't issue checks like Bodog except to say that they need to finish the Navigant investigation before they can pay us... May not get an answer to this, but still going to ask it again... [/ QUOTE ] Read the FAQ again... it directly addresses this question. Any funds Neteller tries to clear thru checks at this point, are going to be seized! [ QUOTE ] 3) In terms of question #3, it's something that the attorney we spoke to brought up -- based on his findings that a large portion of their customer base was in the US (and Canada for that matter). With that going away, he asked whether there would be issues with solvency of Neteller as a whole.. Might be a non-issue, but for those that are counting on getting their money back - the solvency of Neteller was interesting to some.. Probably will be ignored told that "they can't answer it", but I think it's worth asking... [/ QUOTE ] Sometimes it pays to do your own homework before asking bad questions... Neteller has more than enough money to pay everyone (if that is what the gov't and navigant determine is appopriate) and then some... |

Sniper -
Not saying I don't respect him... Saying I don't care if he's a V.P., CEO, or a telephone rep. Just looking for a few simple answers. I appreciate that he's responding to our e-mails, I'm just not "title impressed".. I'm sure he's a fantastic guy - but he represents the company that won't provide me the answers we want and that honestly, I don't particularly trust. And No, their FAQ doesn't answer the question. Again, Bodog and others are issuing cashiers checks right now.. There is a difference between a "Neteller Check" and a "generic cashiers check" that can be cashed anywhere. They are still not clear why or how the government can 'seize' funds (assuming again, that Neteller has done nothing wrong and that only the few executives are "under investigation") issued through a generic cashier's check. It's a fair question and I don't think they've answered it (similar to the question about our privacy - that they've "addressed", but not "answered"...) In terms of the third question, we did some degree of "homework". An attorney who looked into this matter for us (not hired, just doing us a favor on the side) asked the question and it's a fair one. Again, just because Neteller says that they have enough money doesn't mean that I can't ask the question.. I am not an expert on "solvency" or accounting, but he is... If you're convinced that they have enough money to pay us and remain in business, fantastic - I'm not 100% sure. Look, I wish we could agree here. I've been advised by others within the NCC to stop wasting my time here as the climate here is more negative than supportive. I've continued to come here because I WANT to hear the negative and the concerns and not just the "Keep up the fight" comments.. If you have other / better questions you want answered, tell us. If you have every answer you need and you want to wait and see what happens, you absolutely can. Nothing we're doing is going to distract Neteller enough from paying us within whatever window they've outlined (even though some have stated that).. In the end, they might deliver their plan in 75 days and have us paid in another 75-150 more. The NCC will then happily go away - hopefully having given some consolation for many who were not getting ANY answers from Neteller. Thanks again for your thoughts.. |

One more thing -
Even though I think we SHOULD, I would not expect us to get our money back before the Navigant investigation. I am merely trying to ensure that there is a solid plan in 75 days and that we understand what possible roadblocks there would be to prevent us from getting our money (so we're not sitting here in 75 days wishing we had asked X, Y, or Z before something drastic happened).. |

Gee if only a shareholder would step forward. I wonder when the Annual meeting is scheduled? I wonder how they feel?

goldy,
I have no issue with you asking questions... but, you should keep in mid that the IRS, the DOJ and Neteller, among others, are reading this thread and following other discussions... if you ask the wrong questions, you may end up bringing on what it is you hope to avoid. A word to the wise! fwiw, if the charges against the Neteller execs ultimately get dropped, and no other charges are filed, we may never know the full story of what is going on right now. But in the end, if you get your money back, and we now have a timetable that includes a plan for how that will happen, does it really matter? Neteller shareholders are the biggest losers in all of this... |

Does anyone have a mutual fund with Neteller in their holdings? What is the fund manager feelings and what is the current valuation?

Nope - all I care about is getting the money back. That happens, beautiful.
Fair comment about the IRS and DOJ, but I don't think I'm asking the wrong questions -- or asking anything that hasn't been posted on ours and other sites. I'm just trying to get them in front of Neteller.. |

Here are the important questions...
1. Aside from the $55 Mil in funds seized in transfer, what is the total amount of US customer funds remaining to be disbursed? 2. Where are the US cutomer funds held? 3. Are these funds currently under Neteller control or frozen by court order? 4. Assuming agreement from DOJ and Navigant, what obstacles remain after the disbursement plan is released within 75 days, that may delay disbursement of funds? 5. After disbursement of US customer funds, are there issues with Neteller continuing to do business with the rest of the world, that non US customers should be aware of? 6. At what point will Neteller shares resume trading? |
