I really dont understand Liverpool getting Bellamy and Pennant as they both have huge issues outside of the game. Man Utd will really struggle to get a striker in Jan who can make a big diffrence

[ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] Man Utd fans make me lol [/ QUOTE ] Great game you guys had on Tuesday! [/ QUOTE ] It's not the team that make me lol it's the supporters. Saying it will be an easy game despite Liverpool having a better midfield then Man Utd [/ QUOTE ] O RLY? [/ QUOTE ] honestly a big reason why i am a Man U. fan. Easily one of the most exciting players in the world to watch play. |

Alonso + Gerrard are better then any combination Man Utd can put in the middle and Scholes is about 500 years old and isn't anywhere near as effective as he used to be. [/ QUOTE ] This is without a doubt true and I went a little overboard with my "take them to the cleaners" remark but I think there's a good chance we will beat them comfortably. We are better than them in every other facet and Gerrard hasn't been playing nearly as well as he did last season (0 goals in 7 games). It'll also depend on how many times O'Shea decides to pass the ball to the other team. As for the striker situation, I don't think it's as important as picking up a true holding midfielder (Hargreaves). Solskjaer has been performing really well and Alan Smith is just getting match fit plus there is the option of bringing back Rossi when his loan ends in January. If Bayern decide to give in with Hargreaves I think we'll be in good shape to make a run at both the premiership and the champions league. |

[/ QUOTE ] hargreaves will be cup tied, so he won't be able to help us in the CL [ QUOTE ] Man Utd will really struggle to get a striker in Jan who can make a big diffrence [/ QUOTE ] trezeguet is still with Juve, so it isn't improbably to bring him in, and I think that he would thrive in england. Torres may be near impossible to bring in in jan, but I think that it would be short sighted to say that Trezeguet can't make a big difference |

Bah, I completely forgot about him being cup tied. Why didn't he break his dang leg before he played a game for them!
As for Trezeguet, I'd be reluctant to bring a striker from Serie A to the premiership after seeing Sheva at Chelsea. If he were a bit younger it might be ok cause he would probably be able to adapt a lot quicker but he's already 29 and he's been playing for Juve for the last 6 seasons. We need someone that will be ready to play quick given that it will already be halfway through the season. |

trezeguet's age may work against him(how weird is it to say that a 29 year old is too old for something, lol, this is what I love about football), but his predatory instincts and his general style of play I think would fit him perfect in England. Other then Torres, there are few strikers out there that really get me going that could end up at ManU. Any young english striker is too young for us to know what the deal is(agbonlayhor, though he looks like he may be the real deal, and villa aren't gonna keep him long) or they just aren't good enough. I can't think of any striker in the french league that I'd want for ManU, and Klose is the only striker in teh Bunesliga that I'd possibly want to see(though he'd be cup tied with Bremen), and there are few in Italy that I'd want to see that would have a realistic chance of going to england(heh, gilardino ain't going anywhere). We won't talk about the perpetual rumors of torres. basically, right now Trezeguet is the only possible answer if torres can't be pryed away. I still have worries about alan smith just because that leg break was just so gross. So, I guess I should reserve judgement til he fully returns(which will be like this time next year given the injury, no way he'll be a true 100% when he returns)
