They have to treat the players well because the place is a dump and they need to have some competitive advantage.

It's not that bad. Have you been to the old Seminole casino or Pompano up until a couple of weeks ago? It doesn't get dumpier than that.

These are my predictions regarding the Seminoles:

At the beginning they will only offer up to $5 limit and $100 NL just like the pari mutuels. They may try to increase NL in a few months based on florida law ambiguties and depending on the negotiations with the governor but they will keep $5 limit.

First, they are always full now offering $2 limit and they will be full offering $5 limit with full rakes being played at all tables due to all the loose play. If they increase stakes they still make the same money. So why piss off Florida when they are currently negotiating for Class 3 gaming which might inlude full gaming and true high stakes poker in a few months anyway.

The worst card room IMO is Hollywood Greyhound (Mardi Gras). It looks like God's waiting room. I was the only player at the table without a wheelchair or oxygen. Last time I played a SNG and the dealer forgot to set the timer and we played at the same level for 30 minutes.

Hopefully the room will get a nice facelift when the new limits take place.

I honestly hate this room. The original facility was built similar to a prison and there's that feeling of being in a bunker when you're inside. Their dealers are absolutely the worst and the floor managers are so incompetent it's almost shameful.

After a few incidents there where the floor exhibited more concern for keeping the customer happy than enforcing the rules of the game I decided I wouldn't be giving them any more of my money.

I played there twice. I won both tournaments (MTTs). I still won't go back.

It's really that bad.

Miccosukee may be a [censored] hole, but it is MY [censored] hole. Also, it is only about three miles away from my house, while the closest decent Casino, the Hard Rock, is 45 minutes away. I am not willing to drive that far and get stuck on a 3 hour waitlist in order to play 1-2. I may if the stakes and rake structure are better than Miccosukee's. What makes Miccosukee so much worse than the other casinos in Miami? I would say that Miccosukee is a hundred times better than the Flagler Greyhound Track, the only other casino in Miami I have been to.

Personally I can't stand the smoke at Miccosukee. I hope its poker room will be non-smoking like the seminole poker rooms someday.

They actually stopped allowing smoking at the tables a few months ago so now all the addicts get up between every hand and run to the rail to catch a few drags. They still allow smoking just outside the poker area so it's not like the place is much better. But hey, at least the guy sitting next to me isn't blowing it right in my face...

If the guy sitting NEXT to me blew smoke in my face I would bust him upside his head.
