As "bad as that press release was written", it was put up on almost every major gambling site -- as is.. [/ QUOTE ] I will guarantee you that the press release was posted on gambling sites in order to attract more search engine hits, which in turn leads to more click-throughs on the sites' affiliate links. |

This is horrendous news for people still playing online poker. Since neteller went down, the only way to move $$ between sites was to exchange money with people you know. A lot of the equilibruim was preserved because some of us could move money around--those from Europe and Canada. Even if you didnt use a friend from canada and europe to get $$ across sites, in order to keep the games (esp bigger games) on FTP and stars running, moving money between them became very important. It just seems like there is a matter of time before there will not be many big games for very long.

Strassa,
Europeans can still move money around, right? Moneygrams are not that bad of an option. They are $2500 and cost only $10. |

[ QUOTE ] This sounds like the "We should support the War in Iraq because the president says we should" argument.. [/ QUOTE ] There are many reasons to support the war other than "because the president said so". As a matter of fact, I have never heard anyone use that as a reason except for you. Don't derail your own thread with political ignorance. [/ QUOTE ] DHURRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR. |

There is a new Neteller FAQs for American customers:
http://www.neteller-group.com/conten...faqs_us.htm#15 Congrats to egoldy and yahboohoo, inasmuch as the first seven FAQs respond directly to the questions that the Neteller Customer Coalition sent to Neteller last week. |

FYI. Gilchrist did send a message back today to the NCC group (with their latest press release) and a few minor other comments. We've decided to send a follow-up message to Neteller to reask a few of the key questions they are dancing around.
See the latest version of the letter we're planning on sending here and post comments - read through the rest of the thread if you want to see Gilchrist's message: http://sports.groups.yahoo.com/group...on/message/882 They did semi-address the privacy comment in their latest FAQs at least to say that they won't answer it.. I'm very open to thoughts around next steps (particularly by those most impacted by Neteller) -- but I still feel that asking questions and applying pressure to ensure things move forward is better than waiting to see what happens.. |
