I just heard that Sarasota (one eyed Jacks) will NOT be offereing 3/6 or 6/12. From everything I have heard Sam (a very nice guy) has backed off his firm stance and the biggest limit game being offered is 3/5. I like Sam but I think he was really close to closing down all cards for a month or so if he was offering these games.

These are my predictions regarding the Seminoles:

At the beginning they will only offer up to $5 limit and $100 NL just like the pari mutuels. They may try to increase NL in a few months based on florida law ambiguties and depending on the negotiations with the governor but they will keep $5 limit.

First, they are always full now offering $2 limit and they will be full offering $5 limit with full rakes being played at all tables due to all the loose play. If they increase stakes they still make the same money. So why piss off Florida when they are currently negotiating for Class 3 gaming which might inlude full gaming and true high stakes poker in a few months anyway.

Ive heard that the horse track will be similar to Sarasotas when they get done. (My roommate deals cards there). But yes Sarasota's room is very nice.

The worst card room IMO is Hollywood Greyhound (Mardi Gras). It looks like God's waiting room. I was the only player at the table without a wheelchair or oxygen. Last time I played a SNG and the dealer forgot to set the timer and we played at the same level for 30 minutes.

Hopefully the room will get a nice facelift when the new limits take place.

On the other hand, they treat their players better by far than any other room in the area. They always have a table of food out for the players, they comp coffee and bottled water (don't know about other drinks) and their tourney structures are better than any others.

They have to treat the players well because the place is a dump and they need to have some competitive advantage.
