They could really use a guy who can post up and score. It didn't really seem to be a big factor in the Miami series, but that's because they were getting into the lane at will. There have been alot of games where I've seen them take jumpshot after jumpshot and have a hard time getting some easy points. Deng continuing to develop into a beast will also help

Would they be more inclined to get someone in the draft or through free agency/trade? Also, is there a website with a list of players eligible for FA this offseason?

[/ QUOTE ]

the best FA this summer are Vince Carter, Gerald Wallace, and Grant Hill. It's not a solid FA market this year.

Grant Hill isn't a great free agent.

You forgot Rashard Lewis.. I'm not sure about which mid-level guys are out there. Mikki Moore is a free agent; he'd be a great pick up for a lot of teams.

It's great to see VC play his way into a big contract. Nothing like $20M a year to pull up for 20 foot jump shots.

Someone with more knowledge please handicap the Pistons/Bulls series.

Also, what do the Bulls need to do this offseason to jump from solid contenders to NBA elite?

[/ QUOTE ]

I think the Pistons are better overall but it's very close and the biggest thing the Bulls have in their favor is coaching and the fact that Flip is probably the worst remaining coach in the playoffs at game-to-game adjustments. I think if Deng shows up big again the Bulls will take it.

Some will say they need a post presence but I think they just need a true star. Maybe Deng will develop into one? I dunno. Either way I think that will be the difference in this series, the Pistons experience will show down the stretch. Pistons in 7.

I could give a more detailed breakdown but I pretty much said everything that's important.

[/ QUOTE ]

Agreed this same Bulls team minus Ben Wallace took a healthy Miami Heat to the brink of elimination last year.

The Bulls played really good...but the fact they swept the Heat had more to do with the state of miami's team and how poorly they matched up with Chi defensivly.

Still....if they keep playing with the confidence they have from the sweep they def can give the Pistons a run..but I figure Pistons beat them in 6.

Raptors look completely outclassed by Lawrence Frank's defensive and offensive schemes.. They look like deer caught in the headlights and this game is likely a wrap. Ah well, game 5 should still be good back at the friendly confines of the ACC. I am really disappointed by the effort though, the Nets look like they're playing with 6 guys on the floor, every shot is uncontested.

Frank is probably one of the top 5 coaches in the league. Just goes to show what a joke the Coach of the Year award is.

I think the Raptors really over achieved during the season because they played in such a crappy division and were really deep. It is obvious from this series that we still need a second option outside of Bosh and that Sam Mitchell isn't a good coach.

Bruce Willis seems pretty hammered on the sidelined.. He just said " yippiekiyay motherf*cker* on live Canadian TV.. That's like the highlight of the Nets/Raps game
