some other random questions cause im a noob...

whats nit? i couldnt find its meaning on the abbreviations thing...and what is the longest downswing in terms of buyins you guys have seen? cause i have run bad before but it usually fixes itself...i just want to know what to expect as i play more hands and grow as a player

Nit is someone who plays hardly any hands. I have had 30 buyin swings at 200nl

Looked for this before, and some dudes in the software forum wrote a script that produces a table of player's 3betting % from the PT database. But obv thats of limited use really.

was that due to pure luck or not getting up when you were tired??

30 buyin swings?? how often ...and totally beyond your control? i guess i just want to get a feel for how running bad is and what to expect

That is at higher limits where the games play a lot more aggressively so there is more variance. You are doing something wrong if you have these swings at uNL

Mostly luck. A lot of set over sets. Got KK twice and lost stack to AA. Had ATc on the button, flop trips, get a guy all in w/ his KK, and I river the nut flush while he rivers a FH. Stuff like that, though after a while some of it made me play less than optimally. I had to quit a lot of times while I was on tilt, but it didn't matter; every session was the same.

I got my BR back up to $600 (it was at 900 before the downswing) before I lost 400 of it playing some guy HU 4 rollz.

Goddamn shortstacks at party sucking out on me each and everytime. Why do they think they have the odds to call a 4xbb raise with 33 when they only have a 12bb stack? And is it just me, or the time I'm playing at party, but 50nl seems a lot harder. All my tables had a 20>vpip and a 10<pfr percentage, I just couldn't find any good tables, and none of my fish buddies were online either... Ah well enough of this moaning, I'll try it again tomorrow at a normal time, and see if I can catch myself some fish.
