ok, so my best friend's dad is in town and we go to eat dinner @ the Mirage, and then they decide they wanna play some cards, so I figure what the hell, I'll dick around and play some 1/2.... and then I witnessed what I believe to be the greatest preflop play in the history of poker....
I'm in the sb, the bb posts, and utg+1 decides he wants to post a dead straddle. After some talking with the dealer, they allow it. UTG limps for $2 (because techinically it's not $4 to him yet since the straddle "acts" after him). The the straddle does not have an option to raise, a few other people call, nobody raises, comes back around to utg who FOLDS!!!! |

that's awesome. [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] live poker. although I believe I might be able to top that.
I'm playing in a local card room. Dude sits down, before being dealt cards goes all-in for 100bb. Someone calls, he loses. Chips! He's all-in again before cards are dealt, this time for 50bb. Someone calls, he loses. Chips! Goes all in a third time. Gets called, loses and leaves. Same table, a guy raises to $10 (this is all at 1/2) UTG and then UTG+1 says "here you go, I'm all in" with about $1K behind as he puts in his $10. Everyone stares at him and dealer is like "You said you're all-in, so you're all-in." The guy's like "nononono, I just meant my $10 was all in!" Dealer holds him to his declaration. He gets called by KQ and he flips QTo. KQ holds up for $300 pot. Sweet. |
