I haven't been keeping a tabs on the refs for the game, but that was a horrendous job on their part on that series. [/ QUOTE ]why? YOu have read everyone's posts which have explained that faceguarding is indeed a PI penalty even if you don't touch the guy, right? |

Complete collapse by the Pats, on all levels, since the Brown OPI w/about 4 minutes to go in the first half.
Do you think the Pats will throw on 1st down now? |

Face-guarding is illegal in one and legal in the other right (NCAA/NFL)...??
I could swear it is okay in one but not the other... It is a stupid penalty..because in MOST cases (unlike Hobbs') they make interference anyway by ramming into the guy early....however..in cases where they dont touch (like Hobbs')...it is a bad rule imo. |

[ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] Why is that DPI if there was no contact? [/ QUOTE ] You can't just block a WR's face without making a play on the ball [/ QUOTE ] If that's the rule, that's pretty [censored] dumb. [/ QUOTE ] Welcome to the NFL. |

I hate that call. It's terrible. It's not like he was actually faceguarding him anyway.l He just didn't happen to turn around and then he hit the ball. I really don't think "not turning around" should be a penalty if you do absolutely nothing to interfere with the receiver.
