The grand jury is still empaneled, you know. There could still be an indictment. So when you say "the feds haven't even been able to secure an indictment," shouldn't you add "yet" to the end of that?
It's also obvious to anyone who pays attention that there would already have been an indictment if Greg Anderson hadn't decided to rot in jail instead of testify. |

Bonds top 3 of all-time without steroids would be an interesting argument to see from both sides. I'd be interested to see the reasoning behind it

Well, didn't he flat out admit to a grand jury that he took them? [/ QUOTE ] No, he didn't. [ QUOTE ] He said he did it unknowingly, but he still did them. [/ QUOTE ] No, he didn't. This was the inference drawn by the authors of the book based on their interpretation of circumstantial evidence. [ QUOTE ] As far as him not breaking the rules, using steroids is against the law, so it really doesn't matter what the MLB says about it. [/ QUOTE ] Steroids of all sorts are prescribed legally everyday to hundreds of thousands of people. [ QUOTE ] So what we have here is someone who broke the law (knowingly or not) and used a substance that helped him break this record via improving his strength/endurance/longevity/whatever. [/ QUOTE ] Reckless speculation, not even remotely close to fact. [ QUOTE ] Not totally illegitimate when you consider how good Bonds is/was anyway, but somewhat tainted. [/ QUOTE ] It's tainted by reckless hatred and hackjob journalism, I'll give you that much. |

Now kindly provide a source showing that steroids do not help home run hitters hit more home runs. [/ QUOTE ] If you don't, I'll assume you don't have one. See how easy this is? |

Drew, did you know that steroids assist pitchers as well? And likely even more so?

[/ QUOTE ] Hey, I'm not the one making the assertion that his record is "tainted." The record is the record. If you want to dispute it, you are the one who has to provide the evidence, chief. Edit--Also, I'm not claiming that Bonds is "clean." I don't know. I'm claiming I don't give a [censored] if he is or not. It makes no difference. "Cheating" has been a part of baseball for over 100 years. So what? |
