That extra $10million is NOT all in one lump sum. Rather, on one of those lottery payout plans ($250K a year or so)

There's always some catch to that junk.

Ahh yeah lol.. would've made for some interesting deal talks if he got short-handed though

So does that mean he can take a lump sum of 2.87351 million like all the powerball winners do?

[/ QUOTE ]
He probably HAS to take it this way. FTP isn't a state lottery that takes taxes and whatnot LOL. No cash option, but I bet he'd take a 6mill settlement if it was offered, amirite?

OK, it looks like RainKhan has toned down his act several notches, and is playing solid poker, so I'm pulling for him and Scotty to get heads-up.

Just in case you care.

Sorry guys, that was my fault. I precisely counted up all the chips (it took longer than I thought, but I believe in accuracy over speed if you have the time to spare), but when I transferred them from my paper notepad to the text file on my computer, I accidentally typed Kevin Farry's chip count twice. (I was going from bottom to top.)

As you already know, I corrected it a few minutes later. But blame me, not Injection, who just copied and pasted the numbers that I had posted.

I've wanted to provide more coverage all day, but my bosses didn't want me flooding the updates with hands from the featured table while the other tables had less frequent updates. They also thought hand numbers for the Featured Table would be confusing for a lot of readers. (Not 2+2 readers, but the more mainstream audience that checks updates for the first time during the WSOP Main Event.) Personally, I think hand numbers for the Featured Table would make things less confusing, but that might just be me.

I'm not able to follow these thread during the action, because there is a lot of work to be done. But I've been following these threads throughout the Main Event as much as I can, and I've really been pushing to do what I can to improve the coverage. I hear your complaints, but there's a limit to what I can do because I'm not running the show.

Anyway, thanks for reading the updates, and thanks to the poster earlier in this thread (*much* earlier) who gave me some kind words by name. :-)

Thanks again for the coverage, it's been consistently good. Very nice to have "scenester" reporters on the scene, instead of n00bs.

F Harrah's for their chip color choices, of course.

I get it. They're overplaying their hands and calling off huge bets when their stack size makes it completely unnecessary to play that way.

[/ QUOTE ]

clearly, either the tens should limp/call preflop from the small blind, or just call a reraise - in a blind vs. blind battle - with the fifth best hand in poker, so that they can be OOP for the rest of the hand with 2 million in the pot and 4 mil in his stack. actually, wait, the best play is to fold (with a 57/43 edge that's certainly not enough to PUT HIS TOURNAMENT LIFE ON THE LINE.)

or maybe AK should just call the original raise (you know, holding AK) or fold to the shove (you know, holding AK).

or maybe, just maybe, they both played well and one got unlucky.

[/ QUOTE ]

wow adanthar this overly condescending tone makes you sound like a huge douche, which you probably are.

Not enough focus on Lee having prisoners work for his charitable empire.

Lee is quite a guy and has several different business interests outside of poker that he hopes to roll into the Courtland Brandon Foundation to save and protect animals. One is a clothing and jewelry line (he has a multitude of prison inmates involved in creating the artwork and designs, which is constructive and positive on its own).

[/ QUOTE ]

Yeah, Lee seems cool, let's put him in the Top 3 and go from there.

Then next year he can enter one or two of his rescued chimps into the ME.

It wasn't 4 actions - it was 3. SB makes first move when folded to. At a SWAG we can figure out what a typical AG range might be. Let's say SB does that with about 2/3 of the possible hands when folded to. BB raises. Let's say he does that with around 1/3 of SB's range. SB now pushes. Let's say he does that with 1/3 of BB's new range. So that makes SB have somewhere around the top 7.4% of hands. Pokerstove's 7.4% range of hands is {88+,ATs+,AQo+,KTs+,QJs}. Note TT is in that range. To make a call correct here, as you note, only needs about 40% equity. Against the range, AKo is 53.2%.

If you change the opponent to an UTG bet-3bet all in maybe you get a tight enough range to think about folding. Not blind versus blind.

cEV clearly deviates from $EV at this point. But this isn't a marginal sort of situation.

[/ QUOTE ]

Thanks for this. I was just trying to raise the level of commentary. It's nice to see at least one person responded.

Yes, you're right, it was a 3-bet push, which clearly makes a big difference (although your analysis suggests that my initial 4-bet range wasn't far off).

Thanks again, BvB NLHE is not an area of poker I've had much reason to think about before.

Nah, he's fine. Some of the vets just get sick of answering misguided questions after a while and get snarky for amusement's sake. If you don't care for that, 2+2 is probably not the place for you.
