[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ] I said that I would confront the guy about it. Nowhere did I say that I would threaten violence. In fact, I very specifically said that the thought of a fight would only cross my mind if we couldn't settle it with words and he was disrespectful to me. [/ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] And if I asked the guy if what my gf said was true and he confirmed it, and then he totally refused to apologize or make things better, that might make me want to fight him. [/ QUOTE ] [/ QUOTE ] Ummm, yeah...if we couldn't settle it with words and he was continually disrespectful then we might have to fight. What are you trying to show? |

[/ QUOTE ] What is direspectful to you? If he tells you to mind your own business or go F yourself, or that he did say those things and he doesn't regret it, that your girlfriend is lying, or nuts or an incessant babbler? Are those things worth fighting over? What has his disrespect done to you that you must fight? Why does it need to be settled? You can walk away from it. Now if he tells you that your girlfriend has a nose like Humpty Hump, then quietly thank him and hang your head in shame. |

B+ on the comic strip. IMO the funniest part is VR's nose. As much as I don't like this chick I have to give her a little credit. Unlike Brandi she doesn't make herselft look even dumber by contantly posting on this issue when she is clearly in the wrong. No doubt she sweats this tread daily, but mad props to her for STFU after her first few responses were Brandiesq.

[ QUOTE ]
If any girl I'm close to(could be girlfriend, wife, mom, sister, friend, etc.) comes to me and tells me that a male has been abusive verbally(or physically) to them, I would ask them if they wanted me to do something about it. If they said "yes" then I would most definitely confront that person. [/ QUOTE ] OK, for maybe the fifth time. Does anyone else see these two (Chad and VR) as supposed professionals and the Rio as their current office? Do you all go to your s.o.'s work and challenge her co-workers whenever someone says something to her (a la "Fightin' Ron" from MAD TV)? If he wants to play the good neanderthal boyfriend away from the poker room -- fine, but doing that at her job just makes her look weak and him look like a idiot. |
