PSA: if u have a gutshot, get it in against me as quick as you can... 4 outs = nuts against me
also, if u have a pair preflop, get it in against me... coinflip or 2 outs = nuts against me that is all edit - ohhh downswing update. 24K hands, -25 BIs, taking a break for afew days, back at 100nl |

Break sounds like a good idea. |

dam straight im on tilt... 12 BI downswing at 200nl, move down, lose almost 10 BIs at 100nl today today... everything lost cept fullhouses.. so flushes, straights, trips, etc, etc, all losers
idk its wierd, like... Jan - April was just a smooth 5BB/100 thing with such low variance, like, maybe 1 or 2 10 BI downswings and id have a 10BI day once or twice a month... then May comes, 25 BI downswing, 35 BI upswing in 3 days, down, up, down, something must have changed in my games coz ive just started swinging huge. anywayz ill be gone for afew days, cya wen i get back... hopefully ill run good and u wont have to listen to my bad beat rants |

Barry has this thing where he buys in for the min. If he builds it up, he plays deep, if he loses he buys in for the min again or just quits. That way he only ever loses a little and might win a lot. In theory this is very -EV and most 2+2ers think he's dumb for doing it, but it is an effective tilt control and stop loss mechanism. [/ QUOTE ] It doesn't seem massively -EV to me. He is basically ensuring that he will be playing more when he is running-playing well and less when he is not. If I could manage to do the same thing I would have a lot more $. Lucky |

Random theory Q : What boards / hands are good for c/rAI bluffing the turn against TAGs who float too much ? [/ QUOTE ] betting the turn is effectivly an all in bet, but with lower risk. Say we have 80bb stacks and 40bb is in the pot and we are HU. we bet 30bb. we're risking 30bb and villian knows/assumes that we are shoving the river a good % of the time. So we effecticly are risking only 30bb, and it has almost the same effect as a c/rAI except we always get to do it. When we c/r, we have to know hes going to bet. he wont bet 100%. More imortantly, once we do c/r AI, we check he bets say 30bb, and we raise AI. Pot by this point is pretty big and he gets better odds to call our raise than he did to call our bet in the first place. Just some thoughts |

I thought that part of the theory was that people play poorly in general against shortstacks

Hehe, 1/2nl 6max on FTP is very very easy with some of the worst regs I have seen (fundamentals wise). One guy told me that he had to get it in pre w/ AQ and then his 5bet push w/ 88 6handed was good

Every hand should be viewed as an independant event. I havent read the theory but based on what I see here I suspect he is playing a large % of his hands short stacked trying to build up to play deep stacked. IMO this is good if you are a losing player trying to have fun but definitely not good if you want to win monies. |
