FG,

I'm almost 100% sure your problem is playing too many tables. Stop playing robot poker. Try playing 4 tables for like 10k hands and actually WATCH the action that's going on. Move your eyes to places other than where your hole cards appear, and the flop. Make reads on your players, play patiently (this is especially hard after 10+ tabling), and profit. Play confidently. Don't say '[censored]' when the flush card hits, or when your AQ gets 3 (or 4) bet.

Try actually playing poker when you play poker.

By the way, you succeeding at poker will give everyone on this forum a huge boost in confidence to their game. Actually... maybe not everyone, but definitely me.

I know how much time you spend at poker, and how badly you want to succeed. Keep trying, I know you can do it.

Guys,

Fgators is a pretty nice guy and he isnt THAT bad at poker. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if he was better than much of the SSNL forum.

[/ QUOTE ]

depends on what 'poker' entails

if it includes emotional control and self-awareness, he isn't better than much of SSNL

I don't say that to be mean. I say it to give him advice. He really needs to turn around his whole attitude IMO.

get some books or something to clear his mind set:
-The Zen of Poker by Phillips
-Zen in the Art of Archery by Herrigel
-Running Within by Lynch and Scott
-Living the Martial Way by Morgan
-the Book of Five Rings by Musashi
-the Synaptic Self by LeDoux

mastery of the game requires mastery of oneself while playing the game.

FGators has many of the tools, but he needs to put it together. That will not happen until he masters himself during play.

Less Fgators.

That is all.

Kermit, what/where are you playing? I always get a kick out of people able to move up since i'm not. I know I dont play my best at 200 since the $ doesn't matter but at 400 and 1000 I play like crap because the money DOES mean soemthing.
