[ QUOTE ] i want that fking #1 pick [/ QUOTE ] why? [/ QUOTE ] what the hell kind of question is that? the jets are clearly going to have a top 10 pick, so why not aim for the highest? good god thats the dumbest question ive ever seen in my life |

ease up guys, having that pick also has its burdens...
i know nothing of college football, but unless there is a clear cut star, it'll be hard to trade the pick for the plurality of picks we could use...not to mention the sick gauranteed money that pick gets |

ya i just want the jets get the exact player they want in the draft, i mean as long as they dont take a qb or rb which they prob wont, its not gonna be that bad of a hit to the salary cap

And we need to get A LOT better. |

i know we have the cap room, but did u see the deal the russell got from the raiders???? i know he's a QB, so his value is bit higher, but that was a sick contract...
also, while we have cap space now, we have people that need to be signed like rhodes, cotchery, mangold, dbrick, etc...money could dry up quick |

Just two years ago there were 4 "can't miss" players in the draft(D'Brick, Bush, Leinert, Young). Houston couldn't bait one team to take that pick. I'm with Suigin here, unless the Jets really must have a Glen Dorsey, Chris Long, or Darren McFadden then I just don't see the necessity at having the #1 pick. I feel like any 3 of those guys could help the Jets tremendously and the #3 pick for monetary reasons would help more if you consider all 3 of those equal. Now if you think one is head and shoulders better and you must have them, then the #1 pick is for you. |
