The Harmon vs Negraneau hand was interesting. I wonder why Daniel raised preflop and then went into check/call mode when he flopped a good hand for that board.

[/ QUOTE ]

I'm trying to recall that one. Was it where both hit bottom pair and DN had a low kicker? If so then the reason he stopped betting is that isn't the kind of flop he wants when he traps with his LAG play PF. He wants to hit a lot more than bottom pair, low kicker, especially against a player like Harmon.

Was it just me or did anyone else feel like the announcers in last nights show were much quieter and let us hear a lot more of the table talk? Maybe after they taped their comments for the first set of shows the Producers had a chance to listen and gave them some constructive tips? Just hoping.

The table talk last night was hilarious. Even Barry was laughing and that was a nice sight. Like an earlier poster said: When Jerry Buss is calling loose just to play a pot with you then you know you are the fish.

I think Daniel needs to learn some self control. He talks way too much and made a huge mistake by saying too much to Antonio. He got really lucky on the river. If he would just shut up and stare straight ahead a few times he could probably steal quite a few pots until the others caught on.

Phil Hellmuth. Sigh. What's left to say? I'm not sure that he can overcome this hit to his rep. Wait until he enters his next big open tourney and see the fish all calling him down or re-raising him big and putting pressure on him. I wouldn't be surprised if he loses endorsements because of this showing. It is pitiful for a professional with his history of big wins to be such a fish at this big cash game. If he couldn't play at this level then he shouldn't have entered. What's worse for him is that he's had to watch these shows on TV and actually see how badly he is playing and how willing the others are to enter any hand with him.

how in the world can Phil be this bad at NL poker? Did you see when Barry was whispering to him about "you have to adjust your game" and Phil blows him off?

I'm not a Phil basher, but WOW...am I a fool to want to play him??

[/ QUOTE ]

I know I thought that was funny. The thing is that since barry said that it prob just pushed phil deeper into the tilt hole

Daniel called a 9k pre flop raise with KTd. The board came QTrag, Antonio bet 15k and Daniel puts him all in having 2nd pair. Before he called, Antonio indicated he could beat AT but couldn't beat KQ. That's the point Daniel put him on Jacks. Antonio was the one who raised pre-flop, what's so amazing? The funny thing is Daniel's bet would have worked if he kept his mouth shut. As it is he got lucky and won the pot anyway.

Is next episode going to be the last one? It was a three day event and they did five episodes for day 1, four for day 2, and three so far for day 3. 13 episodes total seems likely. I just hope they do another show like this soon.

I guess he (Negreanu) doesn't want to start folding to reraises so players don't do it more often to him.

[/ QUOTE ]

That's been my impression.

[/ QUOTE ]

IIRC, in the KT hand, someone else raised and Daniel cold-called, and in the 64 hand he had limped in.

Ghaz: Have you been sweating "Antonio" on UB thinking he's Esfandiari?

Dom: This show has been a pretty accurate representation of how Phil plays and fares in cash games.

All: I was surprised to see Daniel f up so badly with the table talk v. Antonio. All he needed to do was stfu and Antonio would have been quite likely to fold, but his last couple of comments made it so obvious that he wanted a fold. You can see the instant it becomes obvious to Antonio.
