[ QUOTE ]
If you make money there (EV+), then you should play there anyway knowing full well that this BS will happen occationally. [/ QUOTE ] I disagree. I think it's perfectly reasonable to make decisions on things such as customer service. (oddly enough, that is the one reason I play at Wynn, but I don't have to deal with Jesse, I deal with Cathleen, who is outstanding.) |

I've been to the Wynn twice, but isn't it very common knowledge that the day floor (Jesse) is an ass. That's been mentioned by almost every Wynn reg in every Wynn post.
The thing that bothers me the most isn't moving the game (although that seems dumb). It's refusing to tell people why. One of the things that people in customer service (field in which I work) [censored] up constantly is sharing information. When you screw somebody over and don't tell them why, they don't mind the screwing nearly so much as the not knowing why. |

[ QUOTE ]
While I agree this is a stupid thing for Wynn to do I'm not sure I understand why so many players leave instead of just switching tables. [/ QUOTE ] From the OP the game appeared to be going all night so most players are on overtime (OT). When they are on OT any excuse to leave is good enough. I remember one player who (if an a good OT game) would make sure all the chip racks are as far away from the table as possible so nobody would get the idea to "rack up" and leave. [ QUOTE ] It certainly can't be that much of a hassle....but from Al's tone I gather that moving a table like that is almost a sure-fire way to get players to leave which I think is somewhat interesting. [/ QUOTE ] A game full of noon to 7:00pm day players can easily be moved at let's say 3:00pm (they will grumble but they will move, which is why you should still do it rarely). ~ Rick |

The wynn's room is certainly far from tops in the EV dept, so customer service is really important from my point of view. Often times when I show up at wynn, the games are full of coffee drinking locals whom you couldn't squeeze a friggin' nickel out of. Those days my trips there last about 15 minutes, after which I usually wind up at MGM. Add in the poor customer service and next time I'll probably just wise up, save time, and head straight for another casino in the first place.
And if you're pissed off, don't play. Or at least don't play for real. That day I quit and went down to the ghetto end of the strip and blew off some small bets raising blind in a 2-4 game. al |

After reading this I'm beginning to wonder why anyone would play anywhere else but the Bellagio. I used to be a big fan of the Mirage but I've gotten a little tired of having to chase the brush around the high-limit area when I want a seat in a game. I've never had a moment's aggravation of any kind at the Bellagio.

On several occasions I have approached the podium at the Bellagio and felt like the person standing there was doing me a favor by speaking to me. [/ QUOTE ] Ditto. I've stood at the podium patiently for 30 seconds until the guy came back. As he came back he noticed someone behind me he knew and immediately told him to go sit at the 2/5 must-move table. Then put his head down. I "ahemed" a bit and he looked rather annoyed as he looked up and asked what I wanted. I asked for a 2/5 seat and was told the game was full and he'd put me on the list. Couple with the flippin' $200 buyin on 2/5 and there's just no attraction there for the SSNL player. Caesars, Rio, Palms, Mirage, Wynn, random other rooms at peak times all have 2/5 with rational buyins and less 'tude. And no security checkpoint to get into the stinkin' garage, too! |
